Hello
Have you been taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin, etc? These are the most common cause because they inhibit the formation of the prostaglandins required to form the stomach's protective lining. All I know is that my appetite has been shot and when I do eat I get really bad palpitations, not so much racing heart but more pounding heart which can be felt in my fingers, throat, head, chest, but, wrists, and sometimes even feet. This could be food allergies leading to a release of eipnephrine from the adrenals. People with atrophic gastritis are also at risk for stomach cancer. I also know i have some diverticulitis which was found from a previous scope about a year ago. This requires restoring the elastin in the diverticuli. Silica and vitamin C are very important. I also recommend gotu kola for the elastin, and yucca root to clean the diverticuli and to reduce the inflammation. I think perhaps when the food goes into the stomach it irritates the vagus nerve and causes the palpitations. Possible, but this is usually with either very bitter foods or highly aromatic foods like hot peppers or horseradish, including wasabi. If it is occuring with any foods then this is less likely. Thats my theory. The food that I do eat does not get absorbed properly at all!
The yucca root I mentioned earlier will help increase nutrient absorption due to the saponins, which increase cell wall permeability.
I have no idea what is going on but ive been living in hell for a year now and have multiple symptoms. I had a scope done and was told I have atrophic gastritis which means the layers of the stomach lining have eroded, how? I dont know exactly.
This is so weird but I can fall asleep with a big pot belly and when I wake up in the morning , not only will the pot belly be gone, but my stomach will be sunk in and pelvic bones will be showing! I havent even gone to the washroom at this point! where is all the food going?
Depends in part on what you are eating. Some foods such as many carbs are broken down in to water and carbon dioxide. Meats are broken down in to amino acids. As these are broken down the ammonia is converted in to urea and passed off as urine. There is not much that remains as solid waste if the digestive system is working properly. If you eat a lot of fat the stools will float. If you are lacking dietary fiber then there will be little solid bulking of the stool. People with diverticulitis often try to avoid most fibers. And if you are taking enzymes this will also make a difference as will intestinal inflammation.
When I do go to the washroom, the stool is poorly formed and almost like diarrhea , sometimes it will look solid but as soon as i flush it breaks up and turns into liquid,. point is the stool is poorly formed and of bad quality.
Again, this sounds a lot like a serious lack of insoluble dietary fibers.
Also,. ive noticed, when I do go to the washroom and the moments before I have the need to go,. i get a very bad increase in my normal daytime symptoms, esp. weakness, headache, muscle pain and shortness of breath.
That sounds more like a vagal response. Straining can cause a vagal response, so maybe it is the pressure in the colon stimulating the response.
Ive almost had to call ambulance a few times because I thought I was going to pass out.
Dehydration and adrenal dysfunction can also contribute to this.
Im pretty sure all these symptoms are happening because of the food not being absorbed and the load that its taking on the body. I have gotten all my vitamnins and nutrients checked and they seem to be in normal range, which makes it weird,. i think my body is absorbing a portion of the nutrients, but when it comes to carbs, fat and protein, its not absorbing that stuff at all.
Intestinal inflammation is a common cause for absorption problems. The irritation speeds up the movement through the intestines reducing the time allowed for absorption.
I am underweight and cant seem to put on any weight at all... I really dont know for sure what is going on but im scared,. im thinking it may be parasites but a stool analysis said there was no parasites in the stool,. i was thinking its candida, but stool analysis said there was no candida in stool,. so it must be something wrong with my GI tract where its not absorbing the carbs protein and fats at all,... i dont know,. im hoping the community can help me out here,..
Is your body temperature a little on the high side? And do your eyes have a tendency to bulge out a little?
i cant even take simple amoxicillin without having bad palpitations and inflammation,.. im really scared and dont know what to do,. I have also just recenly found out that every month, my White blood cell count goes lower and lower and so does the Neutrophil counts,. both wbc and neutrophils are out of normal range right now. here is a list of all my symptoms,. some are more severe than others,.
The herb suma is great for stimualting the bone marrow to elevate blood cell counts. It is also great for the adrenals.
- muscle spasm all over body which are visable (daily)
Most common cause for this is low magnesium levels and/or high calcium levels. Try upping your magnesium. I recommend 300mg magnesium malate or citrate twice daily. Make sure there is NO magnesium oxide in it since this burns the intestinal wall.
- palpitations (more hard pounding which can be felt in feet, bum, fingers, wrists, neck, chest, VERY annoying) - daily
Again most common cause is lack of magnesium and/or high calcium. This constricts the coronary artery leading to cardiac irritability. Ectopic pacemakers form throwing the heard rhythm off. So I
Sounds like allergies. Work on your adrenals. I posted information on doing this on the adrenal support board.
- muscle pain/wasteage, scary and painful muscle pain and shrinkage along with twitching - daily
Lack of magnesium is the most common cause of muscle twitching and spasms. Muscle pain can also result from magnesium deficiencies due to lowered ATP levels inthe muscle cells. Magnesium and malic acid, used to make the malate, are both required for proper ATP formation.
- lightheadedness (feels like im going to pass out)
Most commonly adrenal dysfunction.
- headache
Depends on the type of headache. Sinus, work on the adrenals. Tension, temporal, migraines increase your magnesium intake.
- shortness of breath, labored breathing
Could be adrenal dysfunction leading to bronchiole constriction due to lack of epinephrine. Or bronchiole constriction from high calcium, low magnesium. Or some form of COPD.
- lack of energy, weakness
Lots of possibilities.
- stomach aches and pain
Possibilities include inflammation, or ulceration from H. pylori or NSAIDs.
- teeth grinding
Muscles tighten again with high calcium low magnesium.
I hope you guys can give me some advice on what to do here, or what tests to get, or what could be going on with me..
thank you
