Its seems like I've been in this discussion before trying to defend distilled water. I'm not going to do that this time because it really is up to each person what he or she wants to do and feels is best for their body.
But I must say I've been drinking and cooking with distilled water for more years than I would care to state with no ill effects to my health and well being. I have my own countertop distiller and wouldn't drink any other kind. I won't drink water in restaurants because I don't trust the city water supply.
Distilled water is the only water for me. I don't even use the ice maker on my fridge because its hooked up to my well water and I won't drink that either. I freeze distilled water in ice trays for my ice. OK, thats all I'm going to say about distilled water.

I'm researching distilled water an am VERY interested.
I read that distilled water exposed to air will leach carbon dioxide out of air and make it acidic. Is this true?
The distiller I want to buy does not come with a closed container to protect the distilled water from prolonged air exposure. Does this matter?

Also, I was wondering how sea salt can be good for you since it is derrived from evaporated sea water. Since learning about distilled water and the inorganic minerals in it, wouldn't that mean that the minerals in sea salt are of the inorganic kind?
I have also read that some people remineralize their distilled water by adding a few grains of organic brown rice and/or sea salt to it. What is your take on this?
Thanks.
