About time!

Having to sit next to someone who is overflowing into your seat is not a pleasant experience.

The ones that have canary legs and a large gut should
be the next to be abused.Next the ones that have beer guts Oh I'm sorry are you pregnant by 8 months?
I'm sorry we are going to have to charge you cause you are
requiring an extra seat belt to go around your spares.
Oh mam, is that a large beak you happened to forget to take
off from your party you attended or is that just your nose?
I'm sorry the person next to you cannot see out so we will
have to charge you extra for that big nose you have.
Oh sir, Is that an Irish Big Head I see? I'm sorry sir, but
we have found our ear phones are being torn up by your head
being so unusually larger than the normal head. We are going to have to charge you extra too.
And some are complaining they can't see around that large
head.
Hey You don't have to be Fat to be Big.
There are some handsome looking athletic types that don't have an ounce of fat on them.There are some gorgeous looking models, I mean pretty in statue that don't have to be fat not to fit in those sits.We have very tall people in this world. Big does not necessarily mean they are fat.
Some may look like they are fat but they are not...it is a health issue.
I'm sorry guys this problem is a deeper seeded problem than
just what meets the eye.
We are not seeing the whole picture here. We really need to stretch the mind beyond the obvious.
The bottom line is always "greed" and money money money.
How you really looked at the issue here?These planes need a remake to fix alot of problems that are causing health issues as well as fitting the people of today.
Somebody is seeing how to solve some of this by the new
plane vehicles being designed.
I am against people having the freedoms and rights being
trampled on. I am seeing people not being able to smoke
and the excuses given why ciggys being blamed. I am seeing
alcoholics not being helped just to make money on the so called various other lame treatments pushed upon them.
"pills, pills, pills". I am sick of them giving pills to treat ailments and just to make more problems on top of the problem.
The senior citizens are getting knocked off and not given the proper treatments in hospitals just to save the insurance money.
Our children are suffering more and more from needless vaccines being forced on them. Our children are not getting
the proper treatments for cancer, for example.
The mentally ill are not getting proper medicines.
Someone is making Greed $$$$$$$. The fat Obese are suffering needlessly. They have been treated half a**sly.
These seffering from obesity are given wrong information how to lose weight just to make the almighty dollar.
Our diabetics are suffering being given the wrong diets.
Our food has been messed up on purpose with msg, wrong sweetners,wrong essential oils, list goes on and on. Soy messes up the thyroid. No nutrition in our
food. Our water is unclean...fruitose over stevia?
We are all being messed over for the almighty greed $$$$$.
This is not just some fat being on a seat.
Airports have bad security still. The airplanes are not being fixed to be safe enough for flights. We are risking our lives flying these airplanes. We are not being told the truth by our gov't and by our news. You have got to wake up and see beyond what is being told to the public.
Why do we have such lousy everything? Name something that is decent? If you do find something, I bet it is few and far inbetween.

My husband is 'obese'. He is tall and he's big. We've always gotten seats together and asked for an extender in advance. One time he was embarassed that he had to sit next to someone else because Caribbean Air didn't do advance reservations. Well anyway, the girl who wanted to sit next to her friend didn't want to move. She ended up moving. My husband has broad arms. His fat rolls don't spill into anyone's seat but boy the seat was small even for me.

I worry that he won't go to get colonoscopies and other things done because of how other people perceive his size. we're not all fashion models. I want him to lose weight but he has had lifelong unhappiness and depression and right now he's fat and reasonably happy in our marriage.

All of these airlines will be doing this soon. A fat tax is WRONG WRONG WRONG.

I can't believe some of the derogatory things that are being said on this thread... people are ignorant, and completely insensative... you never know what someone's problem is. I had a girlfriend who got kicked off a southwest flight because she was pregnant... she had always been a very thin woman.. but hormones changed during pregnancy, and she blew up like a balloon.. and couldn't afford the second seat... and the flight attendant didn't believe she was pregnant.. I'm sure she would be thrilled at being called a cow..

Or I have another friend who had half her lung removed.. they cut her from the back of her neck, around her body to her pelvice bone... she barely lived.. but because her lymphatic system was damaged.. she got severe edema... I'm sure you would laugh at her and call her a cow too...

I'm not debating the issue of having to buy a second seat... if it's appropriate.. sure.. but you all forget that human's in general.. are much larger, and I don't just mean fatter.. than they were 50 years ago.. and yet, the airlines have added more rows.. and diminished the size of the seats so that they can make the almighty dollar. even sitting next to a thin person, is a challange seeing as though there is only ONE armrest between you... are you blaming the airlines?! you should be!

but no... folks here prefer to call an overweight person a cow... if you called a black person a nigger.. and a brain damaged person a retard,we'd be thrown off the board. But, apparantly call a large person a cow, is totally ok in our society... no wonder so many young girls turn to severe weight loss methods to be thin. they'd rather be dead than fat.. apparantly because of people like the ones who posted here.. comparing a large person to a cow... shame on all of you.. :(

Especially since this is supposed to be a healing website!! perhaps we should all work on healing our attitudes.. one of those folks you call a cow could be someone who comes to this board regularily..

I think these people should be given a seat in first class where the seats are more comfortable.
