Roooth, found this article and thought it might help.
Fuhrman plan is 1
oz of nut and seeds per day and no more than 2
oz of avocado so I am shocked if this causes appetite problems. As there is no way as we can not snack on these items they have to be implemented in a meal such as a huge salad with avocado. Where some run into problems is with improper food combinations.
Well this article might help.

Eating an avocado pear helps suppress the appetite
A fat found in olive oil, nuts and avocados could help naturally curb weight gain.
Scientists found the 'anti-snacking' fat known as oleic acid triggers a reaction in the body that staves off hunger pangs.
It activates a brain area that increases the feeling of satiety, sending out the message: 'I feel full.'
The discovery that it regulates food consumption and prolongs the time between meals could lead to the development of a new generation of anti-obesity drugs.
It could also be among the reasons why a Mediterranean diet which contains high levels of unsaturated fat found in olive oil, nuts, seeds and food such as avocados is so good for us.
The research was carried out by U.S. scientists and published in the journal Cell Metabolism.
In work on rats they found that oleic acid is converted into a fatty lipid hormone called OEA (Oleoylethanolamide) within the small intestine.
OEA then finds it way to nerve endings that carry hunger curbing messages to the brain. It activates an area of the brain that increases feelings of fullness.
Researchers believe that it is the first description of an ingredient in food that directly provides the raw material for production of a hormone.
Only unsaturated fats containing oleic acid regulate food consumption in this way, say the researchers from the University of California. They suspect that saturated fat and trans fat - hard fats converted from liquid oil by chemical process - found in processed food may 'throw a spanner in the works' of food regulation.
They might upset the system or deactivate it, leading to over-eating and obesity.

The ratio needs to be carefully watched, taking in too many omega 9s and omega 6s (which go hand in hand in these foods) against too little omega 3s will stimulate inflammatory response in the body which can lead to heart disease and cancers. The ratio of omega-6Â's to 3Â's should be somewhere between 2:1 and 4:1. Instead, most of us are getting somewhere between 10:1 and 30:1. Omega 9 is not essential, it can be made from 3s and 6s by the body. The calorific value of these foods will outweigh the benefits of any oil content.
