I'm new to the
Master-Cleanse cleanse. Well, that's not completely true. I have made numerous attempts in the past to do the cleanse because of all the good things I'm hearing about it, but I was never able to get past the second day. I knew several people who had done it and received great results.
I'm on day 5 now and I'm feeling great. I was afraid I wouldn't make it this far, but I was able to get through the horrible headaches on the first couple days and the chills at night this time. I feel myself filled with energy. I have accomplished so much in just the past couple days because my mind is focused and I'm full of energy. It's great!
My original intentions for this cleanse was to lose weight. I'm going to visit my brothers in Florida in a couple weeks and I need to fit back into my bikini! I was afraid to weigh myself before day 10 (from there I would decide if I wanted to stay on it longer...which I think I will), but I was feeling so good today that hopped on the scale and I lost 6 pounds! I was so dissapointed in myself for gaining about 20
pounds in just the past year. There were a lot of problems in my life and I didn't care about what I was eating or how often I worked out. I was actually in the Air Force and was really pushing the limit on my physical fitness. Now, I'm out of the service, living life for ME again, and I have my head cleared.
Now onto the questions for you experts out there...
1. I have not been able to find that smooth move tea anywhere around here, so I've been taking laxative pills about every other night. Will that make a difference? I know the whole point of the cleanse is to get toxins out of the body, but I don't know what all is in them. Is there another alternative to the tea I should try?
2. Since I started the cleanse, I have not had a solid bowel movement. It has all been "butt pee" (as so many people on here know it as). Should I be doing something else that I'm not? Does it matter if it's "butt pee" or solid? I've seen so many posts about the different kinds of waste, but other than "butt pee" I haven't seen any other kind.
3. I've been feeling great while being on the cleanse, but there are those foods that I can't wait to eat. But my brother is coming up to visit before I go down to where he lives, so I was wondering if there are any reprecussions to taking about a week off from the cleanse(after 17 days) and then go back on it when I return back home. I'm assuming that I should ease off of it (orange juice and soup) before I stop completely and go to eating pizza and fast food with my brother for a week, but is this change it eating vs. cleansing harmful at all?
4. And finally, I know that 10 days is the minimum to be on the cleanse, but what is the best length of time to fully do the cleanse for?
Ok, I know that was a lot to ask, but it has all been on my mind and I know someone out there can help me out!
