I had the same experience you did. In the regretful summer of 2007 I let this dentist talk me into repairing a chipped tooth which he lied that he did not need to drill on. Then he indeed did drill into my tooth then falsely accused me of not being still when he was working on my tooth. The tooth was in so much pain I cried all night. Then I researched on the internet and found some herbs for tooth pain and made a poultice that eased the pain some immediately and also started oil-pulling. And within three days of oil pulling the pain went away although there was still some soreness. Finally after about a year I was free of symptoms and stopped oil-pulling but a few months later the pain returned along with swelling.
I was told by dentists I needed a root canal. Instead I started oil pulling again and the swelling went down and the pain has since also completely disappear including any soreness; I can eat nuts, meat or anything on that tooth now. This in part with the help of a few of the dietary suggesting and other info in the book called Cure Tooth Decay at
http://www.curetoothdecay.com.
Excellent book and I saw immediate results from eating a few of the foods he suggested however I did not keep up with this because I decided to stop eating meat or dairy soon afterwards. I also didn't feel I needed to since the oil pulling was so good. But I did notice there is some loose skin where the swelling used to be just like you describe.
Well, I just went to the dentist today because I was considering having my mercury filings removed and she said that lose skin meant it was infected and needed to either get a
root canal or get it pulled. She says there’s no pain because the infection is going into the bone or something but also admits that having a
root canal does not remove all of the infection either just takes some of it out and it can re-grow. I'm not sure what to do about this or if she doesn't know or what. I feel absolutely no pain or pressure when eating, it feels like all the other teeth. Also I asked "What’s the point of getting a
root canal if it doesn’t remove the infection anyway?” Most people I know experience pain along with infections no matter where the infection is I thought. Anyway she suggested removal as an alternate possibility but also said that when removal is done the dentist often leave infected bone or tissue behind for the infection to spread as also. Well, I'm at a lost here. -Seems like they are all no win situations.
She also suggested ozone treatments to kill bacteria instead of a root canal but from what I've read the ozone only lasts a few seconds or something. I also looked up possible laser treatment and filling the tooth with magnesium which I read someone mention on curezone. But the only doctor I saw online who seems to be doing that in a manner that makes sense and would fix the problem is out of the country. Have you gone to a dentist since all your symptoms disappeared? I'm going to do some of the things you recommended and try to locate some of the herbs and foods in the cure tooth decay book for insurance until I figure this out. It’s been a year and a half for me and I'm feeling fine but these dentists have me concerned. One other thing you might add that is supposed to be a cure for everything is
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement or Miracle Mineral Cure; I just got it yesterday for other issues.
