Gary Young, the president of Young Living, created the blend Thieves and the formula was based on research about a group of thieves that used to steal valuable belongs from those that had just died from the plague.  They were able to walk amongst the dead without getting sick because they would rub a variety of essential oils on their bodies before entering an area. That is how he got the name and, personally, I absolutely love that story.  I use Thieves in diffusers to destroy bacteria and viruses in the air (so they say - But it just smelled really great too). And when I used to get a bit of phlegm in my lungs (I used to have a tendency for bronchitis) I would rub the oil directly on my chest and it would clear right up.  Fabulous stuff and a wonderful invigorating smell!

I also use Thieves oil on a regular basis. It is great for anything related to colds and flu, viruses and bacteria. The range also includes cleaning products infused with the Thieves blend.

I use Thieves oil in my diffuser when anyone in the family is starting to feel cold/flu symptoms. It is certainly an oil worth having as I have not been sick for a long time and my 12 yr old son had the start of a cold, we diffused Thieves in his room and he was better by the morning.
