Such a long story, but I will try to make his brief. About 13 year ago, I got deathly sick out of nowhere. Went to specialist after specialist and I was given wrong diagnosis after wrong diagnosis (basically because they didn't know what was wrong). One doc I saw ran an ANA panel and it came back positive. He said I had Lupus, but wasn't 100% sure because some of the bloodwork results were questionable. He wanted to put me on a Lupus drug, but after talking to the pharmacist and finding out that one of the main side effects was irreversible blindness, I decided to not take the drug. I am highly drug sensitive.
Years go by and I have another blood test by another doctor and he says no Lupus. Naturally I am relieved, but no closer to an answer, other than finding out I have systemic candida and Epstein Barr. Then, several years ago, at least 5, and probably more, I start noticing that I'm getting indentations in my face. I have a two in long, thin line over my eyebrow that looks like a worm pushed its body into the skin over my eyes and left a mark. I have round indentations that look like someone pushed their thumb into my skin on three different areas of my forehead, and a smeller on on the side of the bridge of my nose and I have really small ones all over my cheeks and forehead that look like
Acne or chicken pox scars, but I've never had
Acne on my cheeks or forehead, or chicken pox.
I went with my mom to her dermatology appt. last week and since I was there, asked the doctor to look at the marks on my face. She said these were not normal (not wrinkles, etc.) and that I needed to get into my doc asap, and have a biopsy done. Mind you, this woman is one of the top rated dermatologists in my entire state. She said from what she was looking at, it looked like either Scleroderma or Lupus. I reminded her that I have a history of autoimmune problems and she said that that makes me even more prone to those two issues. She showed me pictures in one of her medical books of the indentations both on people with Scleroderma and Lupus. I am wondering if anyone here has these as well. Thanks.
