Dr. Christopher taught that the inner bark of the Black Walnut tree was a food for hair, nails, skin and nerves (silica). He also recommended a 'Three Oil Massage'. It is done like this:
At night massage the head throughly with one of the following oils:
Night 1 and 2: Castor oil
Night 3 and 4: Olive oil
Night 5 and 6: Wheat Germ oil
After the massage cover the scalp with hot Turkish towel and let the oil penetrate. Rest on the 7th night and repeat each week until done.
Take no less than a TBSP of wheat germ oil three times a day (I would reduce this for a child)
Follow the live food diet to speed up this procedure.
This program has promoted hair growth (fuzz) in as little as 3 weeks to 5 months.
Dr Jethro Kloss in "Back to Eden" said, "Any disease the impairs the vitality of the body has an effect upon the hair. When the circulation is diminished by a general nervous condition, the scalp cannot be properly nourished. Diseases of the scalp and loss of hair are exprssions of bodily ailments. A poisoned or impure bloodstream carries little or no nourishment to the hair. The color, luster, dryness or oiliness, and brittle condition of the hair are all due to the condition of the system. The real treament for diseases of the hair and scalp lies not in the many tonics tha are used, but in the attention to the foods that are eaten, any of which cause diseases of the body, thereby affecting the hair and scalp. The blood that nourishes the hair must be purified by using wholesome, nourishing foods, that will build a healthy body.
. . . Since an analysis of the hair shows it to be composed of iron, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon, and sulphur, the blood must be supplied with these minerals so that nourishment will be carried to the scalp. Raw foods contain the highest percentage of minerals obtainable. Many of the best foods are prepared in such a way that most of the minerals are drained off in the water. Proper nourishment and good health will do more to make beautiful hair than any external treatment it is possible to give."
Hope this helps, Dr Mom
