Hi,
My husband and I laid in bed sicker then dogs watching the game yesterday.
I looked for a sign that read WWW.CUREZONE.COM but didnt see you..LOL
Your nephew played good. He missed that one pass but he made a nice touch down.I am sure you are all so proud.
Is he your Sister kid? You said your brother inlaw was getting you the plane ride. I figured that must be his Dad.
So you all live in Utah? My husband said he went to BYU!
Well, glad we were sick this weekend instead of SUPERBOWL weekend its been along time since Raiders have been in the superbowl we are really excited.
Hope you had a safe trip home!!!

This is a reply to # 131,692Sorry to hear you are sick, but for my own selfish self, this was the best weekend of my life, all after a Liver Flush on saturday, I had a happy liver for the game.
The raider fans were really nice to me, even after he dropped that ball. He has never dropped a ball in his pro or college career. I had my 88 shirt on and everyone in my section came and was talking to me about how glad they are to have him. When he dropped that ball and had those two penalties, they were razzing me pretty good. When he made that touchdown, the whole section came down and were high fiving me. Some young kids from a couple of sections over came running over to congradulate me.
We need to humanize him. I speak in front of a group of 10 people and I stumble and studder. This kid is a rookie, playing infront of 10's of thousands of fans, millions of people on tv for a chance to go to the superbowl, playing along side rice, brown and cannon. Wow.
We got to go the family section aftwards and he came and gave me a big hug. He didn't know me or the other family members flew up to see him. Yes, he did go to BYU, about 40 miles from where I live. He is my sister's kid and it was great to see her so happy. His dad played pro ball for 5-6 year and never even got to go to the playoffs, he was beaming. One of the jet flyers that flew after the anthem came and got his signature.
Okay, I'm a little proud, but thanks for remembering me during the game, Get rid of those parasites and enjoy a great superbowl.- Re: thanks so much raider

You have all the world to be proud of him. He really is a good player. I would be bragging too!!!
I hear ya when you say you can't speak in front of 10 people let alone the whole world. I could not handle that kind of pressure no way!!!
By the way he isnt the only one who dropped a ball yesterday. He also was not the only one with penalties either. He did great!!
Who did his Dad play for and how long ago?
My husband really gets into the draft and studies the players and he goes to Reno for 5 days with his brother and another guy to the other guys brothers house and they watch all that he makes thick folders full of information I swear you think he was a scout..actually he would make a good one he is always right about the players..Thats why I knew he would know alot about your nephew when I ask him.
Anyway I guess I have taken up to much Bowel Cleanse space for Raider talk but I wanted to congradulate you..

This is a reply to # 131,698thanks again for your words, I got home this morning from Oakland at 2:00am and am on just a few hours of sleep. I tried to take a nap at lunch, but am still on an adreniline high and couldn't relax.
Doug's dad played for the lions, then went to the seahawks their first year they came into the league and an expansion team, so he played in the 70's. He's an assistant coach at Dixie college in St. George and has coached alot of kids that are now in the pros. Why he's not at a major college as a line coach is beyond me. He's the type of guy that if you ask him his opinion, he will actually give it to you. That is not alway appreciated in sports. I think your husband will probably understand that.
About 1/2 my familiy considers themselves Mormons, and 1/2 have philosophical differences (we're rebels), I fall into the later category. I believe the my nephew's family considers themselves Mormon.

I am sure your adrenaline will be pumping for days. I will ask David about your brother inlaw I take it his name is Jolly whats the 1st name? See if he has heard of him.
He knows one coach personally that was at Rocky mountain collage in Montana then he went to NFL Europe. Was hoping to go Regular NFL of course my husband had big dreams to be a scout..LOL
Okay gotta go spending to much time on this thing.
We will have to start a Raiders Football board at this pace...LOL
