Yeah that really does sound unpleasant, but there is much worst, believe me. I would try to cough it up like I would phlegm or something. I always say better out then in.

Sorry if this makes you nervous, but don't be. Tapeworm will try to exit the gut sometimes if things get unpleasant for any reason. If you can handle it, next time, try not to swallow, and see if you can extract the offending entity via the mouth. If it is tapeworm, it might have a bit of length to it, but just keep gently pulling until it is out {and it's natural}.
Now, there are other things which can cause tickling in the throat, but in context of parasites, this does happen to people with tapeworm. Shroom
