I did low carb in college and lost more than 20lbs in one month. If you stick to the Atkins induction phase, you should lose more than 6-7 in just a couple of weeks. Just an idea if you're following another LC plan.
Also, low carb foods like meat and cheese don't really seem to match well with the idea of fasting. Those foods always make me feel really full and "sticky" inside. Seems like those foods would take longer to clear your body. I'm not too sure, just thinking out loud on this one.
If you are going to do an IF, which I have tried in the past, I used raw vegetable and limited fruits and juices for my eating days. Just made me feel cleaner...
