a friend of mine is letting me use his water vitalizer which uses a magnetically induced vortex to energize water. its expensive and i never would have paid the money for it myself, but since i can use this for free i am experimenting.
it has three setting, 9, 18, or 27 minutes. i started out at 9. the first thing i noticed is the water is definitely energized. theoretically it has lots of dissolved oxygen and i believe this.
what surprised me was that it seemed to stimulate a bowel movement. i thought it may just be coincidence. but the next day same thing happened. then i upped it to 27 minutes and had a very urgent movement. called my friend and he told me that yes both he and another person both had the same effect from the water. strange. after you adjust to the water this effect seems to subside but not totally go away.
i would like someone to explain to me how or why vortexed water would stimulate bowel movements in those who drink it?
does anyone know if the ORP value goes up with this machine?
another thing is that if you put the palm of your hand just above the vortex as it swirls you feel a definite energy rising. if you have ever worked with power crystals or gems it sort of feels like that only 'cleaner'. hard to describe. this is subjective, not scientific of course.
overall its a fun toy. i wouldn't recommend it to anyone with limited funds who is battling illness, there are other protocols to spend your money on. but its been very interesting for me.
another thing it does is incorporate minerals more fully into the water. i add potassium citrate to all my drinking water. it doesn't taste the greatest, its bitter tasting and unpleasant. however, when i put the k citrate in with the water as its vortexed the taste is much less bitter. it seems like the K is more incorporated into the structure of the water and less able to be tasted.

This is a reply to # 1,310,489yes but i can drink regular spring or distilled water all day and all night and not get this effect. at 27 minutes its too much, it creates unpleasant very urgent bowel movements. do you think this is only because of 'hydration'?

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,310,495You didn't ask that question before. You should not drink 27 minutes or do anything if it is unpleasant at that time. You have to adjust from no energy to being able to handle the energy resources 27 minutes provides. I use two 27 minute cycles quite often now, however I would never start someone there. Common sense is the best resource. Start slow and build up.

but my question is this - what do you think is behind the water causing bowel urgency? do you think its only about increased hydration? or do you think there are other forces at work here?

This is a reply to # 1,310,592Yes, I totally agree - more information on what the crystals are made of and the Science behind them would be greatly appreciated. There is just too many items being advertised to be able to try them all on good faith, and the funds need to be spent wisely.

I'm doing research to see if I want to order a Nikken PiMag and came across your note on "Dr. Mu Shik Jhon stated that ionizers produce very unstable structure and have little effect on the rest of the body other than the bowels."
So I googled him and got a website with several testimonials including one that he supposedly says Ionized Water is great: "Ionized alkaline antioxidant water improves body constitution and ensures effective healing to many illnesses. I am very interested in learning of the ORP effect on water. I wish you had an ORP meter and you could have measured the ORP values of water before and after the 27 minute cycle.
ORP or Redox Potential is a measure of whether something is Oxidizing or Reducing. H2 is the lightest element and H atoms with one electron is the strongest anti-oxidant. Hence in case of Water Ionizers, the side which produces H2 becomes anti-oxidant water with -ve ORP.
Unfortunately, H2 gas does not dissolve in water and will evaporate, and water loses its anti-oxidant values.
Althoug water Ionizers took over the market in Japan, Japanese scientist came up with other things like "hydrogen stick" and "hydrogen rich water H4O, as a "alternative" to expensive water Ionizers.

ORP is a very scientific term, which cannot be ignored and gives us an idea of how oxidizing or reducing our water is. Some naturally occuring miracle healing waters have actually to been found to be H2 rich. So H2 rich water does occur in nature, but its not very common.
