I have searched around the internet using the term "CQ10 overdose," "ubiquinone overdose,"(that is another name for CQ10)"ubiquinone death" and "cq 10 death" without finding many problems. I have included some web addresses that give a fairly rounded view on the enzyme so that you can see a pretty balanced view. Most of these articles make statements about a much lower dosage, but there are not many adverse effects.
Since I am pasting them all into the message, I have only included one actual hyperlink. It is a very respectible link in terms of western medicine (American Cancer Organization). And since much of western medicine frowns on alternative healing methods and likes to show the inherent dangers, this seems to be a nice reassuring site. The following quote comes from that link:
"Few serious reactions to CoQ10 have been reported. Side effects may include headache, heartburn, and fatigue. Very high doses may cause involuntary muscle movements. Some users report mild diarrhea and skin reactions. Little is known about dosage or consequences of long-term use of CoQ10 supplements. There have been reports that CoQ10 may interact with anticoagulant (blood thinning) medications and pose a risk for prolonged bleeding."
The other sites give other information that you may find helpful. One of them talked of a couple studies in animals that were not good. So look through this stuff and decide. Nobody else can make that choice for you, but I know that I would feel relatively comfortable after reading the information on these sites. One of the primary reasons being that the enzyme is a very common part of our systems, but production drops off with age. Also the cancer, stroke, Parkinson's studies were pretty encouraging. Yes, the studies were done with lower dosages, but I am sure that a lower dosage could benefit most people. It may not be as successful for a
parasite cleanse, but like I said, it is your choice.
