Maybe Iodine makes parasites more healthy, turns em into tough guys by making them more Iodine sufficient.

I have fasted (water only) quite a few times, and my last fast was the only one I did WITH Iodine supplementation. (using detoxified Iodine from iodinesources.com)

It was also the ONLY time I had a BM with dead liver flukes in it.

I can only guess that the intake of the Iodine helped to give my body whatever nutritive tools it needed to kill the liver flukes. It was the only other thing I did during that fast...other than take in extra Seasalt in my water by doing an occasional salt flush during my last fast.

I don't know about all parasites, but I was investigating a parasite cleanse myself before coming here. I was thinking of doing the Humaworm cleanse, but then ran into a thread where someone suggested being on iodine a few months first before attempting one. Personally, I've been supplementing with iodine now for almost 22 months.

I think I got a lot further with killing the buggers with an adequate dose of Lugol's - so much so that this time I added in a heap of SSKI . I'm a bit over-zealous, though, I didn't do that much Iodine (I was doing iodomere by Standard Process) with my previous parasite cleanses, however, I did stay at 40 drops a day through the last one, six months ago.
