Wow! You got into a serious relationship way too young, IMO. What exactly do you mean when you say you "think" it's debt? Either you're in debt or you're not---which is it?

Why are you putting up with a freeloading boyfriend? You seem to think your only choices are to stay with him and tough it out or move back in with your parents. You do have another option, you know. That option is to no longer live with him and get your own place. If that's too pricey (living by yourself), you could get a roommate. Should this option not be affordable, you should just move back in with your parents. You don't have to stay forever (so to speak)---just long enough to get out of debt. After your debts are paid, you can start anew. BTW, consider yourself fortunate that your parents will allow you to move back in while you get your act together.

You're still young and have a lot of life ahead of you. So dump the freeloader and take time to regroup.

Perhaps the reason you don't feel the same connection as you once did, is because the psychology of a person changes dramatic between the ages of 16 and 22. It is very rare that two people can keep that connection when they connected at age 16 and expect to be able to connect at 22. Do you ever hear people say that if they knew eachother in high school, they would have hated eachother?

Why exactly are you paying all the bills on top of your personal debt? My boyfriend and I are both also 22, but only been together since 19, About 3.5 years. We started sharing expenses and incomes almost immediately after moving in with eachother. I'm not sure what money is his or mine. We don't share accounts but sometimes my whole paycheck will go to rent and his will go to everything else. I don't know who's money you'd say it was, but I know my student loan payment was made from his bank account.

You two need to be working together. You're living together now. Cohabitation is like marriage practice. He should be helping, not only with bills, but if you've been together 6 years, wouldn't you expect such a closeness that involves him caring for what you consider to be your personal debt?

Money is the root of many relationship problems. Stress will lessen bedroom activity, raise stress levels, cause you to place blame. And really, unless you elaborate a little here, you might catch a lot of blame placed on him for not contributing. If you are going to blame finances on relationship trouble, you could easily blame him for poor finances, it seems...and you will always have it at the back of your mind that he's not doing his part and you're doing everything you can to hold this relationship together while he is living bill-free. He's not thinking about moving back in with mom and dad in a bill-free environment because he already is.

You will always have debt. Unless you marry a millionare or become one yourself. It sould not normally affect the relationship.

Your relationship will suffer the more you do things seperately. If you are living together you should be sharing expenses. The amount is not as important as the shared responsibility.
