We switched to "REAL SALT" by brand name.
Codliver oil one table spoon daily (you cannot convert A from betacaratene properly and probably not D either...though I have not confirmed it yet)
Cleanse liver.
PABA
Vitamin E with selenium.
how much recovery of pigmant will depend on how dilegent you are.
You may also want to use vitamin A (not betacarotene)broke open and rubbed on the spots topically for some protection. Avoid too much sun and use of sunblock. We just keep his arms coverd and put a bandaid over the spot on his neck that does not get covered.
My son is lazy about this, but developed a spotty comeback to the problem. I don't go back to the dermatologist because they told me what I researched and was trying was nonsense. Urg.
I tried the vitamin A because "Perscription for Nutritional Healing" said it runs in families with thyroid problems. Families with thyroid problems suffer from lack of ability to convert Betacarotene and need vitamin A instead. Codliver oil does not have the risk that synthetic has. PNH suggested PABA, which by itself was of little help. But with A and removing irradiated iodized
table salt ... was slow but did imporve. Faster once I started applying A externally to spots. It goes on a bit orange and does get on close...but seemed to protect him from burning. So now he looks pretty freckled on that size...but less like a burn victom. My son got it at three years of age. It turned his hair grey in spots. Some grey hair has left. Just wish I'd known sooner about the stupid
table salt agrivating it.
It can eventually blind you if it spreads to your eyes. That is another reason I tried the vitamin A...I'm glad I did even though the Ped. would not test his levels.
