One, and three footbaths have done wonders for me. All anxiety disappeared...gone...nada. And the edema on the tops of my feet reduced dramatically. Both effects were completely unexpected.

But, you know how everyone says to drink lots of water? Well, it has taken me at least a year and a half to get up to 3 or 4 12 oz. glasses per day. One year of that time I was drinking from a sweet water well. And I have upped my activity level considerably, taking on an outdoor job 3 or 4 or 5 times per week. (Love it!)
I am an 'older' person, which Owen mentions on his website as being a drawback to rehydration.

So, I was wondering if these good baths would be helpful overall.
Has anyone done baths as a therapy, perhaps to clean the lymph system, too? ...And to remineralize?
Minerals are so basic to well-being.
At the bottom of Daisy4's thread in the Salt forum, linked above, she makes the comment that it is all about 'vibration'. Do you agree?

I didn't think of that.
I believe our province gave that up years ago, plus that year of what seemed to be clean well-water lulled me.
During that year I did think of stuff like 'urban run-off' and old pipes in the house where we lived.
Apparently the well has to be 'shocked' with something, once annually, for mineral build-up, but it certainly wasn't done while we were there.
I wonder, how does fluoride ever get out of water?
...And PCB's and the like?
I have had a yen to live by a waterfall. Do you think that would help? I know where there are a number of waterfalls...year round, I think.

I'll keep my eye peeled for more on this type of filtration.
Though I do think that those who advocate fluoridation should be made to tell us all how to get the stuff out BEFORE they are allowed to put it in. And then we vote.
I allowed one dentist to fluoridate my teeth.
A long time later I got a dark mark on one of my upper centrals. I'm guessing that's where he first dropped the full strength application.
After a while it disappeared, maybe from some oil-pulling I did with cold-pressed sesame seed oil (see the Oil-Pulling forum).
Later, it reappeared, BUT it was further down to the cutting edge of the tooth.

You know me, I speculate about everything. I'd bet my bottom dollar that the tooth has been growing, like a beaver's teeth!
Call it my imagination, but SOMETHING is going on there.
Back to the oil-pulling for me, I think.

Yes, I have done Oil pulling, but my teeth became very sensitive - sigh! though very very white. I still do if I feel a bit out of sorts. Isn't it amazing what you can find with an inquiring mind?! And who!
Someone said that we may have lost our ability to manufacture Vitamin C, within, simply because there is so much of it in nature. I guess the ancients never heard of the modern-day grocery store...or our new-fangled farming methods, and water 'purification'.
The way I'm looking at it is that we manufacture almost all we need, inside, if we have the basic building blocks...minerals, in the balance created, selected, chosen by plants...even by ocean plants 250,000,000 years ago.
Oceans evaporated, and laid down deposits of perfect crystal mineral salts. Just add enough water, and Bob's yer uncle...an ocean swim at home in your bathtub...skinny!

This is a reply to # 1,268,922Sounds like you got a good dose of needed alkaline minerals...
Alkaline minerals are in a extreme shortage in nearly ALL of us. Without them the body can not clean up all the toxins we are loaded with ---toxins which begin all kinds of breakdown in our systems (extra anxiety being one of them leading up to cancers). Cancer can be seen as out bodies failure to clean out dead cells and low oxygen levels, both issues which alkaline minerals help correct. Edema is all but cured with a alkaline diet....
I encourage people here to spend some time at the Alkaline and Raw foods forum's even if they seem totally disconnected from ones pressing issues. Especially (but not lastly) if you have any high blood pressure problems ---look to alkaline..... This subject touches on almost every health issue including emotional.
