No thanks ! This issue is not worth persuing since it has accomplished its purpose of a very needed caveat! And what is the purpose of arguing with his devoted disciples who we know have only MHs interest at heart and could care less about the repercussions of his careless advice to others and his lack of character. You can deny this incident has taken place but anyone who is interested in the truth can and should read his archives before considering what they are getting themselves into.

But you see, I am not defending anything - just giving my opinion on how I think things should be. Thus my two cents worth, and hopefully it is not overvalued at that price. I merely wanted to state that it was my opinion that we should not abandon anyone who comes to our private forums, or support forums for that matter, seeking help - nor should we hold them up to ridicule, while noting that it is possible to give advice contrary to what one personally does and not be a hypocrite (or at least be a well meaning one). I leave it to others to decide how my remarks do or do not fit the subject at hand because, as I said, that is not a forum or an issue that I have followed.

How is a warning that someone is passing out dangerous advice ridicule? Are members concerns worthless? Should we bite our tongues ignoring the situation like good little children? Is ridicule a good word to cease good honest concerns and shut the concerned up ? Are we now ridiculers ?
Maybe riding fences is they way to come out looking good ?

This is a reply to # 1,245,140What is it that you do not understand about me saying that members should not be held up to ridicule by forum owners? I said nothing about objecting to warnings about bad advice. If you go back and read what I said, I think you will find we are pretty much on the same side here.
When it comes to Charlie the dubious herbalist, I did follow my own advice and convictions in what I posted, but as any moderator who is in the know at CZ can tell you, it was not me who got Charlie his well deserved banishment - it was his own misdeeds and mistreatment of other CZ members.
Beyond that, I am not inclined to rehash the Charlie situation. It is old news and it is over.
If you are at all familiar with me and my posts here at CZ, "biting my tongue" is not a phrase most would use to describe me or my posts - though I am making an effort to be more diplomatic. Take this reply to you for example . . .

Well at least you are learning from your past indiscretions. Should MH be banished for his treatment of Zack and others ? At least Charlie had the guts to defended his actions, although in the land of pc it was his downfall. Kind of ironic that mea outed Charlie without consequences yet Charlie was banned for outing her.

This is a reply to # 1,245,309Past indiscretions? If you say so - though I do not consider speaking out against Charlie to be one. I do try to always learn from my experience and improve along the way - to do otherwise is to stop living and merely exist. As far as changing though, mainly it is just my thought that perhaps it would be appropriate for me to exercise a wee bit more restraint now that I am both a private forum owner and a public moderator here. Which is not to say that I will cut one nanometer of slack to formerly banned member with multiple IDs who try to sneak back in again.
As far as my two cents, they are only as valuable as other members perceive them to be - the same as everyone else.
One other area I am working to improve is not getting drawn into prolonged discussions or debates that serve no purpose. This one has already lasted too long, and so I will leave you to carry on or not as you please.
