I've told you for years that many of the pro-vaccine crowd are hardly as unbiased and independent as they claim. I've long contended that many of these "independent" vaccination advocates are financially tied to Big Pharma and other pro-vaccine lobby groups. And now, finally, the mainstream media has started to follow the trail of pennies to the source of the vaccination issue. And guess what? Turns out I was right.
CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkinson discovered that some of the most prominent proponents of vaccination safety have "strong financial ties" to the Big Pharma companies that produce the vaccines they so vehemently defend.
In particular, CBS's Attkinson found significant financial connections between the American Academy of Pediatrics, Every Child By Two (an organization that promotes early childhood vaccination), and pediatrician Dr. Paul Offit.
Nobody seems to have paid much attention to my accusations over the years. Now that CBS News is on the case, maybe people will start to take notice. Then again, this kind of financial corruption and paid advocacy is so common these days (believe me, congressmen and senators are routinely courted by special interest lobbyists who make massive campaign contributions in order to influence votes), it's likely that people will just shake their heads in disgust and move on.
How bad are these financial ties? Judge for yourself:
The American Academy of Pediatrics received $342,000 from pharmaceutical giant Wyeth, producers of the vaccine pneumococcal (a product which generates a whopping $2 billion in annual sales for the company). And the year that the AAP endorsed Merck's HPV vaccine, they received a $433,000 "contribution" from Merck. Hmmm… do you think that "contribution" would have been as generous if the AAP had spoken out against the HPV vaccine?
Personally, these facts show another distasteful side to Big Pharma: they're as cheap as the day is long. The HPV vaccine makes $1.5 billion in sales, and all they gave for the AAP's "endorsement" is less than half a million bucks? Wonder if they said, "don't spend it all in one place?" I'm being facetious, of course; where there is one $433,000 payment, my guess is there are surely others.
As for Every Child By Two, they wouldn't even admit to the amount of contributions that they receive from Big Pharma, though they did admit that they do take money from the vaccine industry. A spokesman for Every Child By Two claimed that "there are simply no conflicts to be unearthed." Oh yeah? Then why is one of the group's treasurers an official from Wyeth Pharmaceutical?
But organizations are one thing; individuals quite another. And that's why to me the worst of the three on the Big Pharma payroll is Dr. Offit. This man has been quoted as saying that babies can tolerate – get this – "10,000 vaccines at once." Sickening, right? Well, Attkinson found that he also holds a Merck-funded $1.5 million research chair at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Oh, and he also personally HOLDS THE PATENT on an anti-diarrhea vaccine that's produced by – who else? – Merck! The future royalties on this vaccine just sold for a staggering $182 million… no wonder Dr. Offit loves vaccines so much — he's apparently fully immunized himself against poverty.

My brother sent me (snail mail) this guys newsletter because he knows I take CS.
He showed a picture of the Blue guy, and basically mirrored the main media about CS. Among other things he stated:
“there are hundreds of references on silver in medical literature, but not one of them points to a clinical study proving the efficacy, or safety of colloidal silver taken by mouth.”
“The buildup of silver in your system can lead to neurological problems, kidney, ingestion, headaches, skin irritation, and who knows what else”

The biggest threat colloidal silver poses is to the billions of dollars of profits for the more expensive, less effective and side-effect laden antibiotics of mainstream medicine.

The famous "Blue Man", aka "Papa Smurff" Paul Karason, is the new poster boy for mainstream medicine's attack on colloidal silver. Holy Jerry Springer - is that guy a nutcase or what? First of all, he makes his own inferior ionic silver at home, then contaminates it with salt and drinks over a quart a day. Then he claims he never noticed? And goes on to claim that he is very shy whilst being flown around, put up in luxury accomadations and paid appearance fees from one television program to the next!
Though Karason swears by collidal silver and lists conditions he says it remedied and says he owes his life to it, the interviewers skip right by that and just say "but you are BLUE - OO - OO - OO - OOO!" And they often have medical advisors or so-called doctors on the program to advise how dangerous colloidal silver is and tell Karason that he has to be harming himself.
Odd how virtually none of them refer to the fact that back in January after Karason appeared on the Today Show, he was urged to take a physical and so he did and was given a clean bill of health.
And believe me - the misinformation is working. I just returned from a convention where I was at the Utopia Silver booth. Everyone who came by practically said "No, that stuff makes you turn blue - I saw it on television!" It made me realize just how isolated we can be when we are caught up in alternative health forums most of the day - and we even have continued debates about the bogus blue skin scare here at CureZone.
Hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people have taken colloidal or ionic silver all over the United States. Where are all the Smurff tribes?
Not sure exactly how that relates to vaccines, except it shows how mainstream medicine is able to use their control of the media to push their misinformation and scare tactics, whether it be vaccinations, colloidal silver, the myth of high cholesterol and statins, Fosamax, Vioxx or whatever.

You misunderstood DQ, I'm on your side re: CS. What I posted about CS, and the Blue man was in a newsletter put out by the same Dr. Douglass that you quoted about Vaccines. It was in one of his newsletters that was sent to my brother, who forwarded it to me.
As far as you're concerned it was meant to be FYI only.
I sent him an email and tried to straighten him out. He never asnswered.

I didn't misunderstand that you are on my side when it comes to CS. I did fail to get the connection between that it was Douglas's newsletter instead of a generic "this guy". My mistake! I wondered where the connection was between CS and vaccines. Duhh! 
I think that just show how insidious the mainstream propaganda machine is. Douglas is not familiar with colloidal silver, just as the good doctor on Oprah is not and just as many others are not. Mercola is another - though he did not condemn it, he basically put up a mamby pampy CYA statement when the subject came up. And so, even though many doctors and others who favor natural medicine know full well the lies about vitamins, minerals and most natural supplements, when it comes to an unknown, they fall back on their point of reference and it too often comes from the (mis)information put out by mainstream medicine.
Douglas knows about the vaccine lies - and those about statins and a number of other subjects, but is obviously not familiar with those about silver. And technically, there are dangers when it comes to just any old kind of silver - such as ionic silver contaminated with salt, large particle silver products, silver suspended in animal protein, silver nitrate, etc. Just not properly made colloidal silver that is taken in reasonable amounts.

That is so sad. About the Hep-C, I mean. Perhaps about the money too, but $150K will buy a pretty decent house and vehicle, so things could be much worse.
Tell your friend that the good news is that she can, if not eliminate Hep-C, bring it totally under control and never really have to worry about it again.
