Hi aussiegirl. I've been looking around this site and it seems several people have noticed numbness and tingling. I had my Mirena placed 5 weeks ago and early last week my left leg, foot and hand went numb and are still numb. I made an appt. tonight to have the thing removed next Wednesday!!!! I hope that is takes care of this numbness and irritability!!!

the poor circulation is very upsetting, i don't know how to fix it, i use to wear T.E.D. hose around the house, it worked better with one on my left leg and arm. they are just compression stockings.

how are we suppose to fix these circulation problems, i really got mad when i thought of my veins shrinking cause of hormones.

i started taking metoprolol for high blood pressure, i don't really think i have HB i was just nervous about being at the docs, so anyway i was out yesterday walking though toysrus and my left arm went numb shoulder to finger tip, it was like it was just dead, i don't know if this med is making my pressure to low or if i just can't be out and upright for long.

compression stockings would work while you are home.

I am 6 months post removal. I just had my 7th period and it is the first month I had no numbness/tingling. I was having the tingling/numbness about a week before each period. I do notice that I feel short of breath and my muscles don't feel like I can lift things around my period. I also get heartburn and it makes my chest and upper back hurt. But its not too bad. I sometimes wonder if I had that pre mirena and didn't notice. Before my numbness/tingling went away, month five was weird, my numbness switched sides. It was worse than ever before. I actually got my foot caught around a wine rack at the grocery store and it almost fell over. I went to yell at my three year old and looked down and realized my foot was caught! I thought it would never go away.

YES!!!!! I'm also experiencing bad circulation. I recently had the Mirena removed about one week ago and I've been experiencing shortness of breath, chest pain and soreness under my arms,also my nose is often stopped up, my mouth gets dry often and I swallow regularly. The shortness of breath and the chest pain is bothering me even more because it stops me from exercising and performing daily tasks.
