MoreThis is a reply to # 1,232,630Mine looks like my regular breakouts, but they aren't in the places where I normally have oily skin. I normally break out on my chin and my nose, but now I have them on my forehead and my cheeks as well.

From the age of 20 until today, I am having cystics on both my cheek.

This is a reply to # 1,232,736I have not used Iodine supplement yet (I started on kelp 3 days ago). But I am afraid to start using Iodine and breakout. I still have awful scars from cystics after a liver flush. I just cannot go through this again.
And I am not the in US, and no doctors around here use Iodine or vitamins, only traditional doctors.
I used the curse roaccutane (who by the way made my Acne worst to start with) for 6 months (30mg/day).
and I read somewhere that hair dye could cause bromide reaction. No I am thinking that my Acne started around the time I dyed my hair first at 19. From that time, I only died my hair 3-4 times. Could I be bromide toxic?
Yes I get zits on my cheeks, around my hair line, inside my ear, all places away from the white/black heads.

I am not a chemist or scientist, but I did work as a hairdresser for many many years, and I never heard of anyone having a skin breakout last that long from only a few applications of color. If anything someone might experience an allergic reaction right away. Otherwise, I think we just soak up the toxins and they may cause Acne on the way out while being detoxed.
Bromide is in so many things, I believe just a few hair colorings isn't going to be the cause of your acne.
Just my 2 cents worth.

This is a reply to # 1,232,630Mine was one huge nightmare zit. It felt like and looked --pretty angry. It even tingled like the nerve was involved, similar to a herpes/fever sore on the lip. It was on the side of my face by the hairline, and still that one area might even have some tingles once in awhile related to detox. Trapper suggested painting it with Lugol's and that helped. This is a reply to # 1,232,630When I first started taking Iodine I would get them on the side of my neck. Really BIG cysts.
I have never had Acne so this was an interesting twist for someone in their mid forties:) This lasted for a month or so, I then started to get them on my Chin and forehead and in my Hair.
The Acne on my chin and forehead has cleared up but I still get one or two pimples a week in my hair. I dyed my hair from the age of 20 or so up until a year ago. I believe that I am detoxing something out of my hair follicles from the hair dye.- Re: bromide acne supercheetah

This is a reply to # 1,232,855they used to use mercury in hair dyes 7-10 years ago. the dyes still have bromide and choride molecules. I recently looked this up. I only dyed my hair for about 5 years but never felt well with the dyeing process. Hated it. so I went to a henna, and indigo process and immediatley felt better. You probably have a lot of heavy metals in your scalp. Its funny how hairdressers tell you that you dont absorb the dyes because it doesnt touch the scalp.
