Hello All,
I just completed an eight day water fast. In the two weeks before that I had did two three day water only fasts. Yesterday I ate about 500 calories. I have been eating chicken and a little bit of rice. Even if I limit my caloric intake will I still gain weight? I want my weight to stabilize a little bit (I went from 150 to about 129 in that span) before I lose the final five pounds. Does this sound like a good idea? MoreThis is a reply to # 1,222,764you should do juice fast and raw or vegan or fruits/vegs to break your fast first before eating real solid foods to ensure the weight stays off and exercising helps too.

This is a reply to # 1,222,840I lost 21 pounds between the 8 day Water Fast and the two three day fasts I did. My body has changed so much over that span. My face thinned and my entire body shrunk. I went down two jean sizes. I am pretty dissapointed with the way I ended my fast...going straight to solid food. Although I haven't eaten any junk or fried food I had some cocunut soup and chicken this morning and felt so full. It was a terrible feeling. I have started a three day Water Fast which will end on Monday. A few years ago I water fasted and found that after two days of not eating (after I had eaten quite a bit for one day to break a longer fast) I went right down to where I was at my lowest point after the initial fast. I am hoping that my body will rebound this time. After my three day water fast...which (of course) I will keep you all updated on...I will juice fast for five days and then slowly transition. I will keep you updated on my progress. Good luck and stay strong and focused. You can do it.

This is a reply to # 1,222,764Remember, you will add some back to your colon and take on some water, so ending and stabilizing isn't an effective idea. Get to a holistic doctor or someone who is accepting of fasting and get your body mass index and fat percentages done correctly. After that, set your targets based on those numbers and juice fast off the fast, add high quality nutient dense foods and monitor your percentage of body fat, give yourself an acceptable range (like "I can add 2% body fat before I react) and keep working your diet/exercise regiem until you get a good balance.

You cant gain real weight if you dont overeat.
Food usually puts on 5 pounds of water weight. But if you are not overeating and are still cutting calories you can lose weight on a restricted diet post fast.
A lot of people continue to lose on the raw food plan after the fast.
Just dabble with some numbers in the link I gave you to come up with your calorie needs (juice or food).
