Hi,
Well... purists will tell you that it's a bad thing to do. And, in truth, they're right -- it's less than optimum.
But during my first cleanse two-three(?) months ago, I got a really bad headache during the evening of the second day, and I took some acetaminophen (generic Tylenol).
On the third day, and from then out, I haven't gotten headaches from the cleanse. I've done three 5-day cleanses (and I'm on the second day of my fourth cleanse -- not sure how long this will go, but I'm going for 10+ days), and I haven't gotten any cleanse-related headaches since that time. Certainly, the headache I experienced on that second day was the second worst pain I've endured this year (second only to my 8-hour gallbladder attack last month).
My opinion is that you do what you need to do. The power of
The Master Cleanser is
far superior to the damage of a gram of acetaminophen. If you cannot tolerate the pain (and I admit it, I'm a wimp) of doing the cleanse, then how can you hope to do the cleanse?
In general, once you get past that first major headache cycle, it's all downhill from there.
I'm not recommending Tylenol... but I'm not into making anyone feel bad over it, either. It's your body, and you're the one assuming responsibility for your health here. Do what you need to do.
So... was it OK to take Tylenol then? Only you can decide that one.
Take care!
