Hi there, I'm having a concerning reaction to the barefoot (MH) dewormer. I am willing to accept some detox reactions such as tiredness and achiness but I'm also having trouble breathing and am having heart palpitations. I've been taking it for a week now and am thinking I should stop, I was hoping it would pass but it's only getting worse. I had a similar reaction to humaworm. Perhaps I'm having a reaction to a particular ingredient like the Wormwood . i've heard that some people cannot handle this particular herb. should I go to a single ingredient parasite cleanse such as OLE or neem. Any suggestions would be helpful. thanks!
p.s. i was previoulsy taking Iodine with no problems but was taking a break while on this parasite cleanse so as not to overload on toxins being released but perhaps I should go back to that? the only side affect I had from Iodine was slight achiness and it made me ravenously hungry! wierd huh?- Re: bad reaction to barefoot deworme... linenup

This is a reply to # 1,217,915Heart palpitations would be indicative of adrenal stress it would also indicate a possible magnesium deficiency or potassium deficiency. When the adrenals are pushed because of stress which could be die-off or a allergic type of reaction to some ingredient in the product, it will set off problems as you describe. You are probably getting some anxiety as well? Breathing issues would be the same (die off or allergic)
Wormwood is known for having some toxicity to it. You could switch to anti parasite formulas that do not contain Wormwood such as Amazon or Raintree's anti parasite formula or try the ayurvedic formula from Banyan's Botanicals.
If you suspect die-off then I would use charcoal (google Tom Harrelson's site for info) and drink alot of water.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,217,915that these reactions are not passing and getting worse, to me would suggest a break from it. I've had these type of reactions before as well. what I discovered is I did not get farther ahead in cleansing by carrying on while it was worsening.
this may be reaction to some of the herbs, it may be reaction coming from the parasites themselves. the more cleansing you do you will know which it is. if after you've cleansed for a while and go back to these formulas and they don't give you trouble, you'll know it was from the parasites. you can also know if it's from them if you get a similar thing happen from a variety of antiparasitic things. I've had it from Wormwood , male fern, kousso, quassia, bing lang, apricot seeds. ie, it was due to aggrevating the parasites which then set off hyperimmune response.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,217,915thanks megan and lineup for your responses, perhaps I will try to change my anti parasite formula to one that contains no Wormwood and I will begin supplementing with magnesium good point. Megan i have done some bowel cleansing and am preparing for a Liver Flush actually tomorrow. I wanted to do a bit of a parasite regimen before the Liver Flush because I've heard that helps with releasing parasites from the liver. So you say you've had these reactions too? Have you been able to successfully complete parasite formulas with these side affects?

no I couldn't as the reactions didn't stop, and I was getting worse as well. but, I had a very heavy infection. with bowel formulas, Liver Flushes and simply just improved diet/juicing...I was able to improve my health so I could parasite cleanse without reactions like heart irregularities or breathing problems.
I still get other reaction, often panic or sometimes muscles weakness. depending on how severe it is, I still may back off for a bit too. but that's because I've learned that for me, if the reaction is very intense or has a feel of over the edge of what would be 'normal', then I'm no better pushing past, and may make it worse. which may not be the case for you. although with breathing problems and heart palpatations, I'd still be careful with these and make sure it's improving not getting worse.
great about bowel cleansing and starting Liver Flushes too.
