The first time I fasted was 2 years ago for four days on water. I lost 12
pounds but gained part of it back. Then I fasted again last year...around the last part of october I think, and managed to last another 4 days on just water before I got really ill and my friends made me eat. I lost about 15 pounds(I excercised and walked every day) and kept it off.
2 weeks ago I water fasted every other day for a week, trying to gradually work my way up to longer periods of fasting. That lead to me doing a 4 day juice fast last week and I planned to go longer, but ended up eating on day 4. I only lost about 5 pounds, which I have regained. I dont know what it is with me and Day 4...we just really dont get along and I can never seem to get past that point.
By fasting off and on, I have lost 52
pounds in the past 2 years. Fasting is the only thing that really gets me results, and I always see a difference right away. I have never been able to do well on diets or stick to one without cheating and bingeing. But with fasting, I get somewhat "addicted" to the feeling of being clean inside and it makes me want to stay that way, so I dont cheat when I'm really dedicated to a fast. Which has been my problem lately--I cant stay focused.
Today is another Day 1 and I am doing very well so far. Water only this time.
Oh, I forgot to mention my weights. My highest was 307, then when I started the
Water Fast last year I was at about 288, 2 weeks ago I water fasted every other day for a week and went from 261 to 255, then on this last 4 day juice fast I started at 255 and got down to 250, but today I'm right back at 255. I'm 5'6".
