Does anyone know of anything that can kill the headlice with out resorting to the chemicals they offer down the chemist?
I have tried products with tee tree oil but it burns my skin.
I have always lived in communities where headlice just run rampant, and have had to resort to solutions which are poisonous to the body. I wonder if it has contributed to my Menieres disease.
If anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated, as I just can't subject my 6 six year old either to these solutions.- Re: Head lice quilter

This is a reply to # 121,450the zapper that is talked about on this site helps but I have found that you need to zap longer than the recogmended 7 minutes on with a rest of 20 minutes followed with 7 min on, 20 min rest and another 7 min on. It takes about 20 min continuous zapping to get parasites on the skin. I'm not sure if the parasites are stronger since they are on the experior of the body or if the zapping does not have a good contact with the lice since they are outside. Peroxide also works but it lightens the hair... I put a quart in the bath and soak in it....CAUTION SURE NONE GETS IN THE EYES. GOOD LUCK and keep us informed
