So far a few people have told me that wet (premixed) Bentonite clay is better to remove toxins rather than dry, (pill form) But now I have been talking to a few health food stores and I get different info.......
Ok.....So whats the big deal? Does anyone have specific proof per se as to which one is better?

America's outstanding authority on Bentonite claims its action is due to five characteristics. First, it has a large and varied mineral content. Second, it has a negative electrical attraction for positively charged particles. In the human bodies many of the toxic poisons are positively charged. Third, its particles, being shaped like a "calling card" with the wide surfaces negative and the edges of the card positive, have many times more negative than positive pulling power. Fourth, the very minuteness of the particles of Bentonite give a large surface area in proportion to the volume used thus enabling it pick up many times its own weight in positively charged particles. Fifth, to obtain maximum effectiveness in the human body, it must be put in a liquid colloidal-gel state.

This is a reply to # 120,966The two that are the most readily available at health food stores are Yerba Prima Great Plaines Detox liquid Bentonite and Sonne's #7 Detoxificant liquid bentonite. I've used them both and they're virtually the same as far as effectiveness and cost...Yerba Prima is white (perhaps more refined) and Sonne's is grayish.
Liquid Bentonite shouldn't make you feel bad...if anything you'll feel continuously better since it absorbs toxins from your system. The effects of Bentonite are purely mechanical...as opposed to chemical...so there are no die-off or cleansing reactions involved as there are with some other cleanse methods.- Re: Bentonite clay? #165710

This is a reply to # 120,968When you take the liquid Bentonite you should mix 1 tablespoon in a glass of water...it really doesn't have much of a taste. I can't imagine that yogurt or soy would make it any better. Actually, you shouldn't take Bentonite within an hour of any medications, supplements or food since it can absorb the nutrients, etc. If the taste is objectionable to you, you could mix it with diluted fruit juice.
One of the best ways to use Bentonite internally is to mix it with psyllium husks...makes a very effective colon cleanse. Check out the Bowel Cleanse Forum on this site for more info on this.- Re: Bentonite clay? Rob

This is a reply to # 120,970You can take liquid Bentonite in water by itself, or you can also take the Bentonite plus psyllium in water. Psyllium is a soluble fiber that can be found in virtually any health food store. The Bentonite helps to loosen toxic debris in the digestive tract and the psyllium works like a broom to sweep it out. There are basically two versions of psyllium husks...powdered or whole husk. If you want to do a Colon Cleanse you mix 1 tablespoon of liquid bentonite + 1 teaspoon of psyllium husk powder (or 1 tablespoon if it is whole husks) in 8-10oz of water or diluted juice...shake it up and drink it down quick (it starts to gel up pretty fast!). Follow this by another large glass of water. Start with 1 dose a day and then increase it as your body adjusts to the extra fiber. Some people need 3-5 doses a day to start seeing real results (ie. removal of old mucoid plaque...see the pictures in the Image Gallery under Bowel Cleanse results). In addition to the water you are using for the 'shakes' it is very important that you stay well hydrated...drink at least half your weight in oz of water daily IN ADDITION to the cleanse. If you don't drink sufficient water this mixture can become quite binding and clog you up! A thorough colon cleansing can take several months...but it's well worth the trouble! This is a reply to # 120,972Yes, you can eat and live a 'normal' life...but the healthier and 'cleaner' you eat, the better....lots of fresh vegetables and fruits, easy on the meat and best to avoid dairy, sugar, flour products and processed foods.

This is a reply to # 120,967hi ptree. your information has been very helpful. im on The Master Cleanse right now day six. i picked up some powdered Bentonite and physillium today and drank them seperatly in 8 oz of water. the Bentonite would not really mix with the water rather it clumped adn I drank the chunks. i am now completly bloated. is this normal I am trying to drink as much water as possible and i am drinking the lemonade. i ahve eliminated since then but it is about95 percent clear. how ofter shuld I do thises shakes while on the master cleanse. will the bloating pass? thanks for your help.
