Hi everyone,
I have been doing coffee enemas 1 time per week for about 3 months (I can't do more due to time limits and the discomfort...keep reading). I get tremendous trapped gas so I started doing a cleansing enema with a bit of Sea Salt before and after the cleansing enema. Well, I have noticed that that evening I struggle to pass stool, have tremendous trapped gas (it feels like my colon is closed and I am about to burst), have a headache, dark shiny circles under my eyes and am exhausted. Incidently, I do a short infrared sauna after my enemas in the afternoon. I unfortunately cannot tolerate probioitics. I have a high level of mercury and am doing vitamin c and glutathione ivs for now till I can tolerate DMPS. I have a feeling I have low stomach acid and low bile production. My question is this....why is this happening? Is it a herximer (detoxing) reaction or is more bad bacteria building in my intestinal tract? Is it because more toxic bile is going into my intestine? I have a huge candida problem and a sluggish bowel. This is causing me much stress and pain!! Please help me ease the discomfort! BTW, the next day I feel considerably better and am able to pass some stool with ease. Thanks for the advice.

I suggest you look into Lugol's Iodine, L-Carnosine, Brewer's Yeast, Udo's Choice oil, a liquid Mult/Vitamin tonic, and NAG.

Thank you for the advice.
However, because I am so sensitive, Lugol's doesn't agree with me and makes my stomach worse.
I looked into Lcarnotine but noticed it produces histamine (something I don't need since I am already so hyper reactive to everything).
I am allergic to Brewer's yeast.
I already take a liquid mineral/vit.
What is NAG?
Now what...?

Hi. Sorry to hear about your problems. I do feel you will benefit from probiotics but if that is not an option I read that garlic will help replace some of the natural flora in the intestine.
Also, I think possibly you are experiencing detox reactions and or a buildup of toxins. If you are bowel is sluggish what you need maybe either Barefoots lower bowel balance or Dr. Schulze Intestinal formula number 1 and number 2, must start number 1 a week before number 2, or humanclanse from humaworm to move things out of the colon.
All the above are on curezone and you can write and ask for advice as well. You might also try the bowel support forum.

Hi chikitta,
I am no expert for your problem with gas. I can relate to it because of my own experience with a similar problem. I have been using coffee retention enemas for many, many years and did not have problems, Recently I changed my cleansing to a smaller volume coffee enema and quit my pre-coffee cleansing enema and also my post coffee cleansing enema and start having very serious gas problems with extreme pain.
After many different trials to overcome this problem, I found that the saline solution enema that I took before the coffee enema was part of the problem. I replace it with a 2 quart soapsuds enema and a great part of my problems got cured. Second I replaced my two small retention coffee enemas with my old standby of 1 quart coffee with 1 to 2 teaspoons of Epsom salts and retain it for 20 minutes. All my gas problems disappeared. I do this once a week with a day of fasting. I also do the protocol for 7 days once every few months or whenever I feel toxic. Works well for me.

This is a reply to # 1,170,280You might consider opening the hose of your enema bag until liquid begins to flow before inserting it. If not, air will seep into your bowel. I have been doing this before each enema and the gas has subsided.
