Hi PC,
Thank you for the links to the information, and your story. I too am thankful for the information I have found through CZ, and the encouragement that comes from reading what others have been through. For me, the gallbladder surgery was 2 years ago, and like you, thinking it was going to be "the cure-all", I wasn't expecting to have the health problems escalate. I know fully what you mean by that "look" of being sick, and also what Telman means by feeling like a "wounded animal that doesn't want to come out of it's cave" in his blog. I didn't have gallbladder attacks prior to the gallbladder coming out..in fact, I had no stones at all when they removed it, but it was only functioning at 5%. The problem, as you said, was not in the gallbladder, it was the liver.
Because I thought the gallbladder removal had solved the problems, I didn't have any more blood tests etc for a full year after the surgery...but I was feeling the extreme fatigue, tried to push myself to get things done, and yet doing anything would wipe me out. Thinking, again, that it was thyroid- which never has shown up on medical blood tests, but shows up extremely weak in muscle testing, along with other endocrines and adrenals, I went to the local Health Fair for cheaper blood tests, just to see if thyroid might show up for the reason for the tiredness. AND, once AGAIN- still- liver enzymes were out of whack, cholestrol/tryglicerides etc. etc. etc. And my liver was hurting
That was a year ago. During that time, thanks to Dr. Sutter telling me that he was sure my liver problems were parasites, and most likely flukes...I have killed a bunch of parasites, and cleaned out gobs of
liver stones . I especially think that without a gallbladder, that not only are the
liver stones /bile going to be a life-long project..but with the bile dripping into the small intestines, but it somehow gives the
parasites an advantage too, and something I know I will have to continue to be aware of, and doing something about for life-time too. I've learned alot. There are not just flukes that live in the liver, by the way. There's some pretty good videos (for the non-squeamish) of actual endoscopy's where
Ascaris are being removed from the bile duct, and another one from the duodenum. And, there are certain types of
Tapeworms that live on the bile- (dwarf
Tapeworm aka Hymenolepis Nana) and can also plug up bile ducts. No, it's not fun seeing
parasites that have been killed, and knowing you have them living inside of you, but if you asked my husband today what he thought my chances would have been for me even being alive because of the condition my liver was in a few years from now, (had I not found the core cause- parasites/stones- he would tell you they would have been slim. More blood tests were indicating that the heart was also be affected. Quality of life had definelty been compromised.
But...thankfully, it can be cleaned up, turned around, and changes made, but it's not easy, it can be frustrating, it can get very tiring, it takes alot of self-discipline and self-motivation...but I also now know the alternative, and know that my future health can, and will be much better than it was in the past because of what I have learned. By accepting that it's just a fact of life for me...like you said, not choosing to take care of my liver (especially without the gallbladder) puts extra stress on the other organs as well.
I hadn't considered until this past week, that what I have been feeling on my left side has been my spleen! I just went through my first session of acupuncture, and had an "ah ha" moment of what that "spot" has been. I knew the lymphs were involved in cleaning out the debris/
parasites etc, and have had lumps in the breasts...hadn't even considered that spleen is involved with lymphatics.
There may not be alot of us here that have had the gallbladder removed, and I feel like you do, "If" I had known then what I know now- but there's no going back. There are alot of veteran people here that have headed off gallbladder surgery (Telman is a good example) but I would also definetly tell those people that have had the surgery, that cleaning up the liver through
parasite killing/
Liver Flushing is very important too. I know I have celiac too (which the endoscopy and blood tests did show) and I do think unknown
food allergies can create problems as well, not only with the digestive system, but with the immune system.
I had actually talked to you once before too about the need for ox-bile to replace the bile salts from not having the gallbladder- (which Plz did, and will "have a cow about"- hi Plz)- but I know how important too the digestive enzymes are and shouldn't be over-looked.
Thanks for being here PC, you have alot of good information. Maybe it would be different for people with a gallbladder that got things cleaned up, but for me, without one- I don't think there ever will be such a thing as being totally "stone free" or "
parasite free". I am much, much better than I was, but I will not allow myself to become complacent and think "I'm done", because I know it's going to have to be for life.
