Thanks a million for showing us this information, #25606!
Scientific study, http://iadr.confex.com/iadr/2007orleans/techprogram/abstract_90579.htm
recommends chlorhexidine gluconate oral rinse (prescription med in U.S.), and Cetylpyridinium Chloride (over the counter drug in U.S) for halitosis. Wikipedia says, "It is sometimes marketed under the brand names Peridex, Periochip, Periogard Oral Rinse. In the UK it is sometimes marketed under the brand names Corsodyl or Chlorohex, in Germany as Chlorhexamed, in Australia as Savacol, in Venezuela as 'Perioxidina'© is produced and distributed by LG Technology C.A., and in some Central American countries as Clorexil and Dejavu-MW (QUADRA) in INDIA. In some countries it is available by prescription only.
In the U.S., so far the oral rinse I found that contains cetylpyridinium chloride is Orajel Bleeding Gum Rinse.
I hope this helps. Thanks a million #25606 for giving us this lead.
