Hi hadenuff29,
You are so sweet. Thanks for your concern for everyone here and for my son. I truly appreciate it. AND I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE DOING SO WELL YOURSELF! It's really working for you. That's great!
I do believe that you are absolutely right in that the cause of this has to do with the gut, and IBS would either cause it or significantly contribute to it.
I was talking to my son about what you said, and we decided to talk to my nephew's wife who has had a terrible case of IBS for years, and she just graduated from nursing school. In her studies and medical treatment, she has controlled her IBS with diet and I think medication as well. I don't know how long she had to take medication, but we're going to ask her about this.
We have never noticed any odor coming from her, so maybe there is something else, an infection or metabolic disoder that may be caused by IBS or aggravated by IBS.
My nephew's wife has been very busy now taking a class to prepare her for her State Board Exam to get her license to practice nursing in the State of Florida. I'll see when she has time to talk to us about her treatment. It would also be interested in asking her what the standard nursing programs teach their students about
Body Odor .
I agree with you that our primary immediate concern is to become odor-free, first and foremost. And also, perhaps because I'm older, and I suspect that within the next 10 years I'll have grandbabies, just like my nephew's wife is now pregnant, I want to do everything in my power to support research and medical protocol in the long-term medical treatment of
Body Odor .
I have never, and I will never have confidence in politics, but now that there's a whole new field of genetics emerging, and special interest groups like the pharmaceutical companies have much to gain from potential treatment drugs in the genetic field, they're getting the legislative powers moving. I don't really believe that I have any political pull whatsoever, except one small vote in an election. However, powerful and rich people, like Christopher Reeves and others like him, get movements going that put some degree of pressure on Congress as well. So hopefully, in the long run, we may all gain from this new field of genetic medicine.
But for now, we all most certainly need to work on our gut for immediate or short-term success.
Thanks so much for your concern, it's really very sweet of you. Keep taking good care of yourself so that you may truly enjoy your odor-free life.
Best wishes,
mpdela
