I just logged on having not been on the site for some time now and came across the forum on the Mirena. I had my incerted about 3years ago and within months, stopped having my cycle. Several months ago I started having spotting and then it moved to my getting a day or two of light bleeding, and then nothing at other times. I am home right now had to take the day off from work because of the symtoms you described. I expect to start my cycle or what's returned of it within the next week.

Had to take the day off and just lie in bed...the fatigue I am feeling I can't even explain in addition to the symtoms, I am feeling joint pain in my knees and shoulders a "heated head" not a headache, but like my face is heated. It has taken everything in me to get out of bed and prepare my youngest something to eat. I put a call into my doctor and hopefully will get an appointment with her as I don't think I can take anymore of this. Hopefully I am not jumping the gun and going through something else...but it seems too good not to be true that I am having sides affects of it.

Hopefully as I continue to read on all the post that have been made on this more light will be shed for me, especially as to what others have experienced and done about it.

Sorry for such a long post...but just know that you are not alone if infact my symtoms are attributed to my having the Mirena.

Ive had the symptoms of vomiting, dizzyness, hot sweats, a feeling of being mabey hungover, when i havent touched a drop of drink!, I couldnt say if it was anything to do with my periods, as I didnt have any on the mirena, but I would say it was the mirena, and the longer you have it like you and me, the worse you are going to feel, as i did and so many others have, mine was in for two years before I realised these horrible symptoms and more was caused by the mirena and the longer its in the longer it takes once removed to get over it afterwards, read mine and others listings if your not sure about removal, beleve me its not worth the side effects you get, Please take care, and get it out!!(Ps My symptoms only got worse after two years, it can take a while to get the full blown symptoms, and it only seems to get worse after that, thats why I got mine removed a month ago, still suffering from some symptoms now)Take care x
