i nearly lost my mind when i was sent home with a lost iud to be removed a month later. i don't care if they can see it, if they can't get it out the way they put it in then i call it lost. i ordered lots of medical ethics books from ebay and researched the way we suppose to be treated. you are being treated below the standard of care. a lost iud is considered a emergency, its posted on most online sites as an emergency, even missing strings are considered an emergency.
i was poked for a while by a person i thought was a doctor then the guy in the photo came in and without my permission just started jabbing in my uterus til i screamed. i wasn't feeling any pain til i was attacked by dr todd m beste he caused an infection and swelling.
anyway i went to a better doctor that took it out asap with no pain.
