I have great results, as has everyone I know who has tried it, with the Barefoot Herbalist's Lower Bowel Balance formula. He has a forum here on Curezone, and you can link to his website through it. It's a great product, works like a charm, you just have to find the right dose.
I am not on an anti-candida diet per se, but for the most part following the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, which allows fruits and honey, but no grains, no other sugars, and the total elimination of grains altogether is what has made the most difference for me so far. I do cheat occasionally, and I posted a few days ago about an acidophilus product that is really, really working for me (finally), and I"m not a poor student, but the price is a stretch even for me, so I'm sure it would be for you, but I'm taking it because I think it's really helping, and even my own home made kefir and long fermented yogurt, or my own cultured veggies, plus every other acidophilus product I've tried have not really made much difference. This stuff is called Bio-K, it IS a dairy culture, but the amount you take for a serving is only about 2 tablespoons, and it's so heavily cultured with live bacteria that I don't think you'd have a problem with it unless you have a bona fide strong dairy allergy. It is pretty much pre-digested by the bacteria. I can't do regualr dairy, but well cultured dairy products in moderation seem fine for me. I"m paying about 26$ for a pack of six at the health food store - that amounts to 6 to 12 servings, depending on your dosage. I'm finding that 1/2 bottle per day (they are small bottles), is about right unless I eat something bad, in which case I'll take 2 doses.
I have to say, between stopping the grains and this Bio-K acidophilus, I'm seeing about an 80% reduction in gas and bloating, and for the first time in years, I don't look pregnant. My regime right now is 3 capsules of the LBB at night, sometimes 1 cap of aloe, and one half bottle of the Bio-K sometime during the day between meals.
