Thank you so much for introducing us to Metaflor. I'm going to read up on it as soon as I have a chance. It is very interesting. Then, I'll see how we can get it here to the U.S. without it costing an arm and a leg.

I've been doing some research on Mutaflor and how to get it in the U.S., and this is what I found. I checked to see if I could find any international pharmacy that sells it, and I had no luck in finding one online.

Way back in 2004, someone posted a question in google.com that no one gave an answer to regarding importing probiotocs into the U.S. from Germany. She located an International pharmacy in Germany that could ship it to her but they required written authorization from the FDA since U.S. Customs might confiscate the package without it.

I got the phone number of the FDA, Division of Import Operations and Policy (301) 443-6553, and of U.S. Customs Drug Enforcement Administration, Office of Diversion Control, International Drug Unit (202) 307-2414. I haven't had the time to call them, and probably won't until Monday, but here's the info in case anyone wants to call.

My acupuncturist, who's also a homeopathist and works with nutrition and Chinese medicine, works with various international companies that might be able to help us. I don't know if they work mainly with Chinese products, but we'll see. I have an appointment with her on Tuesday morning, so I'll ask her.
