I lost both of my fasting buddies around lunchtime yesterday. :( My husband has never been good at fasting. He's always excited about it when he first starts out, but he gets hungry and caves. I didn't really expect him to make it.
My poor friend! She had a really bad headache and an upset stomach the first time I talked to her yesterday. Then she started throwing up and getting shaky and light-headed. It scared her and she ate a banana. This is the first time she's ever fasted, and she was pretty bummed that she didn't make it any farther. But I just know she was withdrawing from caffeine and maybe some other things too (sugar). I encouraged her the best I could - telling her that fasting is hard and it may take her several tries before she can make it to 10 or more days. But as long as she's willing to try again, I'll be right there to help her through!!
I've noticed the past couple fasts that I am becoming more sensitive to the tea. I'm drinking Smooth Move. I used to have to steep it for 15 minutes to get it to work, but the last 2 or 3 fasts I've done, I have found myself steeping it for less time because I am waking up in the middle of the night with cramps. These past 3 days I've been steeping it for the minimum 10 minutes that the directions recommend, but tonight I'm going to try 9 minutes because I was up between 3:00 and 4:00 all 3 nights with cramps and going to the bathroom.
Other than that, my fast has been pretty uneventful. My usual pacing ensued at supper time. My irritability and want for food at supper should start to decrease soon. Hopefully I'll be able to cook for the family tomorrow or the day after...
Hope everyone is having a good day!

Hi Everyone - I am on board to be a buddy too. I am on Day 3. I read your post from Day 1 Tiffany and meant to reply then, but have not had a chance to write.
This is my 4th cleanse. I did my first clenase for 11 days about 2 years ago and loved it. The 2nd one I did 11 days as well. Then in January I started my 3rd cleanse. I wanted to go for 21 days, but unfortuantely I had to stop at only 5 days - so it was a mini one. This time around I would really like to try for 21 days.
Reading other's experiences helps motivate me and keep me on track. The last cleanse I was really energetic from the start. This time around I have been tired - thus no posting till now.
Day 5 is a good one - and we are almost there :)

I hadn't really thought about how long I was going to go. I guess somewhere between 10 and 20 days. :)

I can't answer on being cold cause I don't seem to get that cold. It might be that I live in warm weather and it is like spring right now.
On the SW Flush - you will be surprised, but stuff continues to come out of you everyday....
Yay! It's good to see I have online fasting buddies! Although I don't mind going it alone, it does help give you a push to know that there's someone out there on the same day as you! :)
As for Er's question about being cold...I guess everyone is probably different on this, but I freeze thorughout the entire cleanse!! I'm in northwest Ohio and we've got close to 8 inches of snow on the ground and the temp is about 10 degrees right now! :( I like when I fast in the summer because when I get cold, I can go bask in the sunshine! But I also miss eating the wonderful summer fruits and veggies. Guess you can't have your cake and eat it to (ha ha)!
