So I'm reading the Mood Cure book and it's really good. It's leading me to think that perhaps my low thyroid IS the cause. I'm taking 5HTP but not seeing a lot of results. I'm thinking of switching to St. Johns Wort. Any thoughts?- Re: New ideas about my Adrenal Fatig... CANDIDA123

This is a reply to # 1,105,014Exhaustion is caused by toxic liver and adrenals. The adrenal glands react from stress in your life. Too much stress over stimulates your adrenals and they stop functioning.
Toxic liver is caused by toxins that you might ingest, alcohol consumption, smoking, diet and the emotional pattern of anger.
Vitamin C and Panothanic Acid is good for the adrenals. And for the liver Lecithin 1200 mgs x 2 daily to start. Other herbs for the liver are Milk Thistle and Dandelion Root.

This is a reply to # 1,105,014Ok, I take back what I said about the 5HTP not working. It kicked in this afternoon and seems to be getting better and better. I don't think I've ever felt like this in my life. It's unreal, if I don't feel like thinking about something, it just stops, my sense of smell is heightened, everything seems clearer, life feels good.
Annnnd then I just briefly thought, this has to be too good to be true, this stuff will probably stop working in a few days.

This is a reply to # 1,105,854Ok so I have a week to go before I can do my saliva testing for my hormones and dhea and cortisol levels. I'm just trying to treat my anxiety/ Depression until I get definite answers as to what the root cause is.
The 5-HTP was working fantastically until up to the last 2 days. I may be taking too much though. I seriously upped my dose from 75 mg to 300 mg. I'm going to cut back down and see if it regulates. However, I think the 5-HTP may have stopped working bc my low thyroid just can't process it. I'm completely out of luck until I get that straightened out. I added in St. Johns Wort. I'm so bummed out because I felt unbelievably good on 5-HTP, probably the best I've ever felt in my life. I'm also thinking of taking some B-vitamin to see if that gets things going good again.
Any thoughts, please let me know.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,105,014I took Atomidine and was as good as new. My problem is coming from parasites and I am willing to bet that more then 50% of people who suffer from Addisons and adrenal exhaustion also suffer from parasites.
parasites have our immune system in constant strugge (that it can't win) and this causes adrenal exhaustion.
Iodine helps adrenals, and kills parasites (most of the time, sometimes it just makes them scatter)
So look for parasite solutions (like the one from Dr. Hulda Clark ) and I think you'd be surprised with improvements.
Trust me with this one. I've even almost fainted once, out of the blue... and I NEVER ever fainted in my life, nothing can make me loose my consciousness - except my exhausted adrenals.
