oh come on! people dont just get sick for no reason. i think of the mirena lasting effects to be like the effects of a vaccination. its just in your body for a while til you remove it. and being sad does not help your body at all.

some people can remove things from the body. i dont know how to completly heal myself from the after effects of this merina, but i do believe it is the mirena fault.

the effects creep up on you, i dont know how we feel different day to day but its all the mirena, just look up yasmin complaints, they sound just like these. all birth control can have the same affects.

well i had the patch, i almost bled to death
i removed the patch, i still bled for another week til i thought i'd need blood.
the mirena damaged my uterus and my nerves in there plus the doctor was a jackass that caused more damage.

the mirena has just triggered our bodies to do strange things. my mother had the iud dalkon shield now that i think about it, she has a weaker left side, she exercises alot and cant get down to the weight she wants. she will still drop things with her left hand. she had the iud at 18 after she had me. the lasting effects made me an only child.

doctors will get fired if they go against the fda appoved crap. only a lawyer can assist us because the doctors hands are tied if they want to keep their jobs.

meat27, I know how scary this is believe me! I went through it too, IT IS THE MIRENA, and that is what we forget, how did you feel before the mirens? Great I bet! Have you had a history of chest pain, heart problems? probably not, are you fairly heathy otherwise, probably, I try now to think logically opposed to being negative, although I have had some BAD times, I am 9 weeks post removal and the chest pains I get are from anxiety does it feel like a tightening? and then it feels like your heart feels funny for a bit(maybe a short pain that is not consistant), it is normal when it come to anxiety because your first response to fear is rapid heart rate, and of couse the anxiety makes it 20x worse! I had many discussions with my family dr as well, I switched ob's and she said that as any hormonal bc the mirena can cause all of the same problems, I know you are scared and that makes everything even more difficult, if I am correct you are about 6 weeks post? Please give it a bit more time, obviously if you feel you need help go to the dr or the ER, I went through chest x-rays, 2 EKG's, all blood work possible and all was perfect. Logic over anything else does really help. I hope you begin feeling better soon. We are here for you.

Hi, I went to the dr's last week and they ran numerous tests (lupus, lyme disease, blood clotting disoreders, ana profile for autoimmune disorders, diabetes, you name it) AND an echocardiogram to check out my heart "flutters" everything came out normal. I am 6 1/2 weeks post removal, and still having the side effects of fatgue, sinus fullness and pain, nausea, heartburn (did you check into the pregnancy heartburn for your chest pain, by the way?) and a few other minor ones like pimples and skin blotchiness. I knew the side effects were probably from the mirena, but having the tests come back normal gave me peace of mind. I have also been to 2 acupuncture appointments for my anxiety, and cant say enough good about it. It has stopped my obsessing, my constant scared feeling, my crying, and I have been able to lead a close to normal feeling life for the last week and a half because of it. I really think you should give it a shot. Just getting rid of the axiety makes everything BETTER. The other symptoms will still be there, but you can handle them, and they just don't seem as scary. TRY IT!!!!!!!

Thanks for all your responces. i am trying to have faith and patience. I feel like I can endure a bit longer now. My chest pain feel alittle better today, but ive had weakness off and on in my left side. I wonder if I had an anxiety attack...ive never had one before, but my blood pressure was high and the signs were there. Very scary. I checked my blood pressure again today and it was better. My doctor gave me his personal email address so I can keep in touch has to how i am feeling. He is a really good doctor and is very concerned. Honestly though, i have received alot more help here at curezone. Thanks again

I had mine removed because of chest pains. I knew I wasn't just falling apart all of a sudden. I got the chest pains like 2 weeks after I had it put in. 3 months later the chest pains starting coming worst so I went see my doctor. He told me that the hormone thats in it can cause that but the hormones are not surposed to leave the uterus. He suggested that I leave it in and get my chest checked out. I told him I still wanted to have it removed so he removed it. I felt very bad the day after I took it out. I slept the whole day, I felt like someone drained all my energy out. I had bad stomach pains so I decided to go see my regular dr.I had an EKG done and my heart was fine. I had X-Rays done and my chest was fine. It's is now 3 weeks since I got it removed I have no more chest pains. If I were you I would have it removed if you didn't already.
