I don't know what is normal for others, but I rarely lose much weight whilst fasting, unless I am water fasting. The last long fast I did was 42 days and I lost 4 kgs (8lb I think), and that was in the first week and a bit, then no weight loss at all for the rest of the time. I have pretty major thyroid issues, so I attribute the lack of weight loss to my thyroid instantly slowing my metabolism down. But for what reason, I do not know. I could have lost 10 kg's comfortably, but I didn't, and then the weight comes straight back after the fast, even if I am on raw veges only, or an equally light diet.
I don't use fasting for weight loss, as it just doesn't work for me. Maybe your body has worked out what you are up to and has slowed down your metabolism too. Do you need to lose more weight?
