You wouldn't have fibro unless it was accompanied by all over muscular pain and brain fog. I have lived with sleeplesness for years and know how distressing this can be for you. I would do your own research and discuss your situation with a professional as soon as you can! You need to have adequate rest. There are delta brain wave meditations that can help you get off too sleep - I can think of Dr.Jeffrey Thompson for one, his CD is available off Amazon. He is a leader in his field and his CD's are really nice to listen to, very ambient and excellent quality. He receives wonderful reviews all over the world, by people who have benefitted from his work. Delta by the way is the sleep state in brainwave activity and the CD entrains the brain to this level naturally.
As well as this, remedial tai chi exercises that seem to work too. The one I do consists of doing reclining "Zhan Zhuang" exercises in bed. It is very easy to do if you care to put in just several minutes and follow the exercise, it is no sweat and very simple. It consists of lying on your back and holding a large imaginary balloon over your chest for as long as is possible while your knees are drawn up with your heels on the floor and toes pointed up in the air. You hold this position for as long as possible. Then massage your abdomen. Place one hand over the other on your belly and make 36 anticlockwise circles and then 36 clockwise circles. Some people will take an hour or so to calm down completely. After that almost everyone will sleep. I find this remedy to really be effective and use it all the time.
Another thing I found out about was the strangest thing in the book, many people use this folk remedy - they don't understand how it works but you chop up onions and place the chunks in a glass jar with the lid on and place it by your bedstand next to you. You will normally get off to sleep quite quickly, you feel drawn into a sleeping state very powerfully. I found out about this remedy through the Wilen sisters, a pair of herbalists in the USA. Don't ask me why it works but it does for most people - it is a natural sleeping pill and they say they guarantee it. It has worked for me.
These are just some ideas. I don't know whether they are relevant to your situation, but there are many more solutions, you just have to find something that works for you. I have lived with chronic sleeplessness for years and have taken sleeping pills, tryptophane, tranquilizers etc. I hope you find something that works for you. Good luck!
