Last night I wrote a couple of replies within another thread. Scott (idsfireguy) asked if I would repost my experience as a top-level thread, so here it is, with some editing for context. From my screen name, you can gather that I’m taking
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement for candidiasis, and that’s why I mention the anti-candida diet below.
Whatever you're recovering from, one issue is how fast you should expect to heal and, therefore, how fast to increase your
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement doses. Some of us have been suffering for a long time, others not as long. Either way, we all want to get well ASAP. Why not jump up to a 15-drop dose right away and get it over with? Jim Humble describes this method for treating malaria, so why shouldn’t we do it too?
It's tempting to move in leaps and bounds like this, but I know I'm feeling much better by taking it slow. We’re all familiar with the sometimes repugnant taste of
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement , and I think that's a good gauge as to what your body is willing to work with. When the taste gets too bitter to tolerate, reduce the dose. At least that’s what I’ve been doing.
Six drops has been my limit so far, and I'm happy to stay there for a while. I have not had one bit of
Sugar or wheat or other candida-feeding substances in 8 months. I’ve gotten used to the routine, which has become much easier to stick with over time. I don't even want
Sugar anymore. For me, this is a long-term treatment. I wish "miracle" were not part of the MMS name, as it implies instant gratification. If you want that, go get a massage or something. That's what I did today: a one-hour deep-tissue massage. More expensive than a candy bar yet so much better!
I know that it took me many years to get into the condition I was in, and I expect it will take a while for me to become totally well. I consider my candida protocol a lifestyle, and believe it or not I have embraced it. I have come to enjoy the simplicity of the diet. Sure, it crimps my social life (for example, I don't eat out). But I'm a homebody anyway, so no big deal. The better I get, the happier I am to be doing this protocol and the more grateful I am to live each day and take each breath.
Have any of you seen "The Secret" and the guy in the DVD who talks about his "gratitude rock"? For those of you who have not seen the movie, it’s kind of a motivational documentary about using the power of positive thinking to achieve goals. The premise is that you begin by being grateful for what you have, then believe you can achieve more by believing you already have what you seek. The gratitude rock is a small stone that one of the speakers keeps in his pocket to remind him to be thankful.
I've been holding my gratitude rock for a few minutes each day, and it helps. I think I'm getting better faster by welcoming the slow, steady blessings of healing rather than resenting the challenges of the process.
So this has been my approach. Somewhere on this forum I read a post reminding me that “slow and steady wins the race.” It might even have been your post, Scott (idsfireguy). It has stuck with me for the past two and half weeks, since I received my MMS and began taking it. I know those words are a cliche, but for me they resonate as true.
