Sorry about the late reply - haven’t been on-line much because of the holidays. I don’t know what’s caused my peeling lips, like I said in my earlier post I really didn’t worry about it much and it did have an intermittent quality, granted when they are dry I do pull the skin off because it drives me crazy having dry skin ½ on and ½ off.
I can’t say exactly how long it took, I’d say about 2 weeks of 2 TBL spoons of VCO by mouth and also putting it topically on my lips. I bought the oil at whole foods. In warm weather it’s liquid, in cool weather its solid, I live in Texas currently so right now it’s in between - like butter. I think it cost about $10 so it’s very affordable.
The other benefits are that it’s an anti-microbial and anti-fungal.

Morning Ronin,
So far my lips are great, no peeling, cracking, or burning.
I am concerned because as I was doing a search & came across an old post that said that while some people got softer, moisturized skin others had the opposite effect and it dried their skin out. They weren’t talking about their lips but I’d think if it dried out hands and legs it would also dry out lips. It’s something to consider.
Someone on that post mentioned taking flax see oil instead. I didn’t get a chance to research that.
So if you decide to try it just check to see which effect it has for you.
Good Luck

I don't think my lips ever turned white. Sometimes they got very pale but I figured that was anemia or something. What does EC stand for?
