The bms you experience on the
Master-Cleanse are liquid from about Day 3 on. You will not have solid bms until you return to solid food.
As for electrolytes and water:
Half your weight in ounces
For example: A person who is 140 pounds:
140/2 = 70
ounces of water (about 9 glasses of water).
When not doing the MC, I routinely add 1/2 tsp
Epsom Salts and 1/2 tsp celtic
Sea Salt to my drinking water, in a 2-liter (8 8-ounce cup) container. I also juice vegetables a lot. The water I drink during an
Master-Cleanse is just plain mountain spring mineral water, which contains some minerals, but I don't add anything to the water.
During the MC, you will almost certainly feel the need for more water. If you wake up with a cotton mouth feeling, drink more. If the skin on your face or hands gets dried-looking, drink more water.
The combination of lemon juice, water, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper should contain all the electrolytes you need during the fast. If you want to increase electrolytes, use Maple Syrup Grade C (allowable on the fast, just has a stronger taste) or blackstrap molasses (used on the diabetic version of the fast, expect more bms).
Having a 30-minute hot bath with
Epsom Salts (1 cup) and baking soda or bicarbonate of soda (1 cup) and following up with a cool shower will allow the body to soak up magnesium through the skin, according to what the body needs. This is a detox bath. If you get dizzy, get out immediately, have a cool shower to stop the detox action to avoid skin rashes etc, and go to bed.

After the MC,
juicing is the quickest way to return the body's electrolytes to normal levels.
