It's a matter of getting your rap down. The rap in any sales is the key. It's called the 10-second elevator pitch. The tickler.....
That's why you can even make close personal friends look at you cross-eyed it you don't have the rap well down and organized.
I've always started out something like this:
"Do you know that I know this really easy, out of your kitchen cupboard thing that will whiten your teeth and remove really hard to remove tartar and plaque...even better than Crest White Strips?....can you believe it's only oil. Any nut or seed oil.....It's a pretty old therapy, I guess about 5,000 years old in Ayurvedic medicine, and I now know of a bunch of people that have avoided gum surgery!...all you do is swish some oil around your mouth everyday like brushing your teeth. I guess the oil removes the bacteria that causes plaque better than brushing or mouthwashes....can you believe that? Wow."
I can't tell you how many people I've turned on by the gentle (cheap and easy) approach. Of course, at the end of this they start to ask questions....As you say in the biz...I've snared a customer. But actually it's very altruistic. I feel so good helping these people. You know, and I know that it's helping.
And, for all the people I've turned onto doing this...they are all, 100% still doing it every day.
