i hesitate to give you suggestions as you may already have tried them. My thought is that this is not a foot problem but a systemic fungal problem, possibly an over run of candida. i would suggest some probiotics, some fermented vegetables, and you may want to run this by the people on the Candida Forum .

have you tried tea tree oil on your feet? what about young living essential oils?

but really i dont think your foot problem will clear up till your systemic problem clears up. you probably need to go on a low Sugar diet, and do some cleansing with vegetable juices. i would go to the Candida Forum and read some of the R messages by stanndard and sans sucre, those might be helpful for you.

of course the best thing you can do is to go outside and walk around in the grass or sand with your barefeet, as much and as long as possible. this will help quite a bit. you cvan even get a box and fill it with pebbles or dirt and then put your bare feet in there while you are watching TV or sitting at the computer.

My grandmother used to put crushed charcol in a womans ankle high stocking and stick it into all the kids sneakers. We also used a bunch of charcol to deodorize an old refrigerator. It actually works pretty well.

That is for the shoes anyway.

Have you soaked your feet in h202 and Sea Salt and baking soda? There has to be some fungus somewhere.

Try coconut oil too. Mix some coconut oil with oil of oregano (melt about a 1/8 cup oil and add about 3 drops of OO) Rub this on your feet morning and night.

That's all I can think.

Since your feet are a path of elimination, perhaps there is something amiss inside?

try foot bath daily with vinegar, epsom salt.
If I were you I would also make sure to have good footwear(preferably leather), cotton socks. Wearing synthetic will just add to the problem you have.

The shoes will hold the odor. You have to wash the shoes if they re tennis shoes, or throw them away. It is not that you can just "freshen them" with something.

To keep shoes from holding odor, do not ever wear them without socks, and if they get wet, they must be washed. They have to be washed often as long as you have a hint of this problem.

Your feet must be washed every day. It is the bacteria that cause the smell. Then you should put on white cotton socks and clean shoes. To do only part of this will not solve the problem.

Smelly feet can be helped by taking a zinc supplement.

If this is fungus, and I suspect it is, you must correct the problem systemically.
If you have any smell to your stool, or smelly gas, you need to take acidophilus or another probiotic supplement to bowel tolerance and then back off. Limit your Sugar and starch intake because these feed the yeast. (fungus, yeast, candida = same thing)

Several years ago I had a problem with tired feet and a foot odor also. I mixed approximately 1/8 ounce of the oils of lavender, rosemary, and eucalyptus in to some hand lotion. It did ease my feet a lot. I got some unexpected results also. For years I had athlete's foot and a problem with heels cracking and sometimes the sole cracking. The oils ended all that. Skin is like a baby's foot now.

AND my wife wore vinyl shoes and her feet could clear a room also. I would massage her feet nightly and within a week the feet had no odor at all, and she still wears vinyl shoes. I have no idea which oil stopped the odor, but it still works years later.

I hear that the bacteria IN The Shoe itself can cause some of these problems. Are you wearing really cheap shoes? You must be sweating alot in them and they are too tight. Get really comfy shoes 1/2 size larger so your feet can breathe. Wear really light socks not those heavy ones as your feet will get hot and sweat. Get some baking soda or baby powder and put some in your shoes. Change your socks everyday. See how that works.

Did you find a permanent solution? I developed bad foot odor 3 years ago and it has gotten worse since then. Basically its a terrible pungent pungent smell that basically just fouls the air in a whole room :(

I have the same problem. I have a big problem with the smell of my shoes. I'll start from the beginning. 3 years ago I suddenly felt the stench of shoes. I thought it was athlete's foot, so I used clotrimazolum and tebinafine. It helped for a while. Later I had recurrences of this smell, but my new shoes lasted for several months. In the meantime, I used a lot of foot preparations such as powders, chlohexidine, antibacterial soaps, deodorants and antiperspirants, and formalin. After all these treatments, my shoes inside have a nice smell, my feet do not smell either. Only when I put my shoes on it starts to emit a strange smell. Reminiscent of neglected, musty socks.
