Now there must have been a time you went to allopathic doctors sometime in your life? Don't you remember thinking that the doctor must know best. I think many CZ people came from that experience and one day they realized that indeed, their doctor didn't know anything. And their dentist for that matter too.
I was like that a mere 3 years ago. Heck I was almost begging for the doctor to take my gallbladder out because everyone told me it would be the end of my pain. I was on so many meds. And I took over the counter meds too for headaches, pains, cold and flu, to sleep, to stay awake, to breath during allergy season, to keep my acid reflux down....it goes on and on and on.......I remember walking through that pharmacy aisle of my grocery store every week with a list of things we needed to handle all of the above.
I was 48 years old.
I was afraid of herbs. I thought people that used them were a bit loony. It's not that I was conservative, it's because of how I was raised. It's not that easy to switch gears. And when the learning begins it takes awhile to really take a hold. It becomes like a hobby, all the reading you have to do!! I spent hours and hours reading this and that internet site or book. It was a lot of work.
I'm glad I did before it was too late. I felt close to dying when I limped into CZ. No wonder, all the things I was putting into my body!!
Until people search for it, or are open to it, you might as well be talking to a wall. They are very fearful and they perceive you as telling them to perform voodoo. This should not prevent you from talking about your experiences however. At some point your friend may just be desperate enough, or frustrated enough to come to you for help. And then you have to feed them slowly.
In answer to your question, yes NOW I think that it's all just insanity. If you told me this 3 years ago I would have dismissed you as a freak. Now I'm the freak...and loving it.
