Welcome!
Is that your dog? Very pretty.
You mentioned going to the Vet. I'm curious, what did your Vet determine in their investigation since mites were ruled out?
"Meanwhile, I've been "collecting" various samples of the oddities to give to the Health Dept, the entemologists, the PCP, the Derm, the Vet..."
Any answer back from any of them? (Don't be surprised if you don't hear anything.)
"Is there a logical explanation, other than it's something alive, for this...like, can a hair move inside a vacuum?"
There are parasites that can look like hair. Parasites don't like light that much so it does make sense if it moved. By any chance, are you able to take a picture of it/them?
You and your husband can get a microscope -- anyone can really. Here's what I've learned. The Art of Microscopy and being a microscope hobbyist are two very different approaches to the problem. The latter, of course, would lack experience and training. Even people who have been trained (microbiologists and labs) have been known to miss many things because they don't have the skills, or the knowledge, or patience to identify certain things.
I'm not saying this because we have a business in it -- I'm being realistic and telling you what I've learned before doing this. If you get a microscope, you may only find one thing -- the most obvious object. Are you only going to treat the one thing? What about other possible co-factors that could be missed because you didn't have the knowledge? When looking through the scope an experienced person looks for patterns and structures -- The Art of Microscopy is looking beyond the obvious and asking deeper questions. I don't know if you've had the time, but might want to look at these micrographs that were done on 70428. You will see that there are arrows pointing to objects. As a hobbyist, how would you know what was what? Apxr has also found that mathematical skills are essential in what he does.

These are some things to think about and to consider. Again, I'm not discouraging you but it would be unfair to you if you had not considered these things.
"As an aside, when I take this to whereever my Drs office says... is there something I should make sure they do or do not do to get this precious cargo out without ruining it? Is there anything I should be doing now to preserve it? It's literally in a jar... no alcohol or anything. Just jar and air and other "samples" from my body."
I'm not trying to discourage you in this either. Don't be surprised if your doctor rejects your findings. Many people have taken objects to their doctors and have gotten nowhere, left humiliated, written up as delusional, etc. If you want to preserve your objects, a solution of 10% formalin would be good to use.
Best of Health!
