Day 9-10
summer daze

Its been a quiet weekend. I did not see
any humans this weekend, although, a deer
stood in the road staring at me when I
went to get the mail. I waved at her as
if she should recognize me. I wondered
what she was thinking as she did not
seem to want to move. Finally, she loped
gently back into the woods and was hidden
from sight even though I drove by slowly
trying to catch a last glimpse of her.
My fast has been fine. Working hard to
keep the waters up as I have not been
thirsty and more tired than hungry.
Each time I used the toilet, I drank
water to replace what I was peeing out.
I was able to lay out in the sun yesterday
too. It felt wonderful to soak in the rays
and feel warm. I have been running a little
hot and cold, waking on Saturday with a
fever, but then yesterday, feeling like
heaven was to be found under a few layers
of quilts and a down comforter.
At different times over the weekend I was
faced with wanting food. The magic 10 day
is one when many people quit, so my self
argued for that briefly. I resolved to
stay strong and committed since I knew if
I quit, I might regret it, but if I didn't,
I would not regret it. So, today I am pass
my first ten and heading to the second ten.
It feels good to be on the path although
once again I am reminded of how different
each cleanse is. I am waiting for my energy
to spurt up from somewhere within, like a
water fountain. Even my mental energy has
waned and so I content myself with reading
and watching movies. The heat here in Texas
has been oppressive, much hotter than last
year already, and so perhaps, that is also
a factor.
Still, progress continues and I like to
smile at myself in the mirror and reassure
myself that I am doing the right thing.
This time, I blame Pepe because of his
sharing his *raw* recipes, I have been
indulging in looking at recipes, and
especially those with pictures. I was
fascinated to watch/feel my reaction as
I was near drooling but would turn the page
as my saliva glands began to respond. I
have found many new recipes in my books I
want to try. I am shopping for a food
processor when I get out the next time.
I have a tiny one but am thinking one
bigger now will better suit my needs.
I hope all those continuing the cleansing
experience at this time are doing well
and wish us all much success~~
be happy, be well,
Zoe
