First day of my fast
I am starting my second major juice fast and I need all of the support I can get.
Date: 5/28/2007 7:25:19 AM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 3335 times Hello. I am starting my juice fast this morning. I completed a 40-day fast last year, and it was the most amazing experience. I no longer have hypothyroidism and lost a great deal of weight. My head finally became clear, I was no longer moody, and I only experienced depression when I ate the wrong item. (I have been able to identify which foods cause the depression and avoid them.)
Why I am juicing again
- For the most part, I have been able to keep the weight off by eating a mainly raw diet. But I started eating what my friend eats and started gainig weight again. It is traditionally considered healthy, but why are so many dieters who eat this supposed healthy diet still overweight? Anyway, I am going back to my raw diet after I am done juicing. I am at 5'4", 139lbs, approx. 29.4% BMI according to my BMI scale. I was a size 4-6. Now I am a 8-10. Not acceptable for my height. (Before I started my first juice, I was 180lbs and a size tight 16.)
- My head is getting foggy again. I cannot think clearly or on my toes like I did when I was eating well. I am forgetting what I am saying in the middle of the sentences.
- I am getting moody again. There are hints of being overly-sensitive again, and I do not want to go back to that.
- I am going to be doing a colon cleanse/parasite cleanse. I am also hoping to finish up with a liver/gall blader cleanse.
Why am I usng this blog?
I need your help. I have tried juicing again since my big juice, but I never make it. It may be because I couldn't keep from eating or I just didn't have the will power. I need all of the encouragement I can get.
I will probably use this blog as a sounding board. Bear with me. Thank you for your support.
